Daiwa Royal Hotel Grande Kyoto

Good location just 5 minutes from Kyoto station. As a Gold member of Expedia, we received a really nice upgrade of room and free executive lounge perks. Of course the staff were accommodating and the hotel was spotless too. Would love to stay here again next time we're in Kyoto.

This is a new hotel and goes out of its way to provide excellent room facilities, in particular we liked the Nespresso pod coffee machine in the room. We stayed for five nights and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The hotel is also conveniently located for the railway station which is only 200 metres away. Highly recommended.

They have staffs from different nationalities to cater to different group of guests. Very friendly and helpful. Food was good. Hotel was close to Kyoto station.

If you're a solo traveler like me this hotel is a gem. Jusr 5 minutes from Kyoto station I found this hotel very convenient for food & travel. The staff is top notch & there is someone who speaks English at the front desk a 24/7. And best of all, the hotel is sooooo quiet. Can't hear the other guest or the cleaning people. Best hotel I've stayed in in years. .

a lovely hotel, the staff were fantastic, my room was very nice, also it is just a short walk to Kyoto station, plenty of shops, this hotel is very well situated, I had a great time on my visit there.

Very nice modern hotel close to the main train station with very helpful and attentive staff.

I chose this hotel based on how close it was to Kyoto station, as we were only in Kyoto for 2 nights, so we had to be close to the bullet trains. It was about a 5-minute walk, so very happy with the location. What’s also great is that Kyoto station has access to bullet trains, JR lines and the Metro. It’s important to note that a lot of the main attractions in Kyoto are extremely spread out, so being close to a train station is essential. There are also lots of convenient stores and shopping centres nearby, so plenty of places to get food. I was also super happy as there was a Don Quijote across from the train station. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel which looked quite nice, but a bit pricey for young travellers. Staff were very friendly and held our bags prior to check-in so we could explore Kyoto. The room itself was ok, a bit small, but expected with Japanese hotel rooms. Bathroom was also very small. The lobby and exterior of the hotel were very modern. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and the location of the hotel was perfect.
