c-hotels Joy

We actually didn't stay at Joy Hotel as the hotel is still shut down due to the COVID-19. The hotel did offer us to stay at HOTEL AMBASCIATORI and we got an upgrade with a view of the Duomo. The location for HOTEL AMBASCIATORI is excellent! Right next to the train station and around the corner of the central bus stop. You will not hear the outside noise, but you can hear the hotel guests slamming doors and talked loud when they're walking down the hallway. The bedsheet was super soft but hotel wifi was not strong enough. If you are here for vacation, would definitely recommend this hotel!

Do NOT book here. We booked Joy hotels, we we arrived there was a note on the book saying to check in at their sister hotel, which we had to find with all our luggage. When we arrived they told us, with an attitude that we were actually staying in a different hotel because Joy hotel is CLOSED. C-hotels owns 4 hotels in the same areas and all of them are closed so they’ve grouped everyone into their bigger hotel. This place looks like a airport hotel, not a small boutique hotel like the one we booked. They were extremely rude, no apology or accommodation for the fact that they did this without any warning or option to cancel. The prices look great, because it’s too good to be true! They should not be allowed to have bookings for places that are completely closed. All of the amenities are also closed apparently due to COVID although all other places we stayed in Italy had open bar/restaurant. They have it advertised everywhere that it’s open, when we showed up there was no one and nothing in the bar despite it being their “happy hour”. When we called the front desk they were again, very rude and offered me water, which I had in my room mini fridge. Awful experience, awful hotel looking Over the bus terminal and again not at all what you think you’re booking. DO NOT STAY AT ANY C-HOTELS ESTABLISHMENT.

Maybe it’s a little unfair to provide a rating for this hotel since I never got to stay here. Upon arrival there was a sign on the closed front door asking us to check in at a “sister hotel” Ambasciatori Hotel Florence. Ambasciatori Hotel Florence was also technically a 4 star. But it sure didn’t feel like one. Our room was dingy, with peeling doors and stained wallpaper. The mini fridge smelled like some poor animal died in there. The bathtub didn’t drain properly. The side of the bathroom with the toilet flooded. The only good thing I’ll say is that it has a decent location and the staff were quick to send someone to repair the bathroom. But it would’ve been better if that was never an issue wouldn’t it.

Staff was excellent. We had to leave early in the morning to go on a tour. They made sure that our breakfast was ready earlier than their usual serving time. Staff at the 'restaurant' paid extra attention to make sure we were taken care of.

This is my second time stay at C-hotel joy. The place never fails me Will book it again next year.

Just 3 mins walk to the railway station very convenient. The hotel is very clean staff are very helpful. Everything is perfect.

Small room but has everything I need. Friendly and helpful Staffs. They also let me check in 2hrs before check in time. Convenient location, close to train station. Great breakfast!

We stayed just one night and the Hotel was perfect. Rooms are on the small size, but we where 2 and it worked just fine. The bathroom was clean and personnel very helpful.
