Very nicely laid out and well-equipped cabin, in a quiet, pretty desert landscape. Totally ready to use - even condiments, charcoal, lighter fluid and firewood were well supplied. Very helpful and communicative owner. Great place to stay, and a great alternative to hotels or campgrounds in the Joshua Tree area.
My husband and I with our dog spent a couple of days in Kim's cabin. It was an amazing experience. Very quiet, clean and comfy place to stay and enjoy yourself. We loved sitting outside watching the sunset, feeding the birds and enjoying the warmth of the cute out door fire-pit. Our dog enjoyed Kim's place more than us! The cabin is very close to Joshua tree national park as well as close to several amazing dog friendly hiking trails. Kim has some good ideas where to take your dog for hiking. We went to Pioneertown mountains which had breathtaking views and our dog loved it as well.
We had a lovely stay at Kim's cabin. It's clean and the bed is comfortable. The property manager is a great communicator and available for any issues.
This is definitely one of the best Airbnb type stays I’ve ever been to, and it’s a hobby of me and my boyfriends (every occasion!). I first wanna day the place was a lot bigger in person! The kitchen was full of pots, pans, silverware, cooking utensils, etc. It came with certain condiments and snacks. There was a coffee machine, toaster oven, stove top, crockpot, cast iron fireplace, and outdoor fireplace. I’d also like to note the television is flat screen the bedroom and there’s some new furniture that really compliments the room. The side yard was so nice and has 5 chairs and 3 tables as well as a smack bbq! On the property, I saw 2 farm dogs, a farm alpaca/llama, about 3 farm horses, 8+ wild bunnies, 2 lizards, and dozens of hummingbirds flew to the feeder on the property!! This place is definitely a hidden gem, I would go once a year if I could! There were a bunch of great places to eat and explore around yucca valley and so many Joshua trees! The valleys hills and mountains are worth traveling to again.
Great place to stay! Will definitely be coming back.
The cabin was perfect for our few days in the desert. Instructions were detailed and thoughtful, bed was comfy, and the cabin was in great shape. The fenced property was secure and the patio was perfect for star-gazing and sunset-watching. We would certainly return!
Stayed with my sisters and was a great place! Quiet and private, clean, everything needed. Appreciated the wood stove set up with kindling and wood! Great price Great place!
Already many excellent reviews so won't repeat but it is all true. Kim was fantastic in every possible way and the place was awesome and impeccable. Thank you Kim!
This cabin was perfection. Kim did such a great job of having the cabin well stocked with wood, charcoal, cooking utensils, etc. I loved making a fire in the wood stove and stargazing at night. It was great to be in such close proximity to Joshua Tree National Park. I was able to work remotely here and use video conferencing via the wifi no problem. Highly recommend staying here!
I loved this place so much, I'm reluctant to write a good review lest the secret get out, but I'm down for giving Kim and her cabin the props they deserve. The cabin is actually very spacious and the furniture well arranged to create a sense of different rooms. It's also rural yet conveniently located for visiting all sites Mojave--Integratron, JTNP, Pioneertown, Purifoy. It was very clean and well stocked with food, dishes, linens, and firewood (though there's also a heating unit should you not want to make a fire). For non-sunlight hours, there's a good collection of books and music. The wifi was also spot on. Communication with Kim was just enough to feel cared for yet not so much as to feel micromanaged. Check in and out couldn't have been easier. The outdoor area was welcoming and my cat loved watching the hummingbirds at the bird feeders. If you're concerned about not being able to find it in the dark, there's a useful Christmas tree-light landing strip that'll guide you home. I'm thrilled to have found this place and hope to be back very soon!
