Hotel Solares

This place is perfec. No complaints. Clear and friendly. Convenient for shopping and dining.

The hotel was good considering the price we paid. It’s fairly centrally located, in walking distance to many restaurants and the boardwalk. There is a fridge, a microwave, great bathroom lighting, a balcony, the list goes on. For the price point you can’t beat this location. The rooms could use a face lift. Some light switches seemed to be falling apart but they were still functioning. Bedding was a bit questionable, but we just pulled the top cover off. Would stay here again if we need a quick and cheap get away. Customer service is really good. Check in was fast and easy and when we complained about noisy neighbors at 2am the front desk handled the situation immediately.

Not bad for price

The exterior and location may seem a bit shadey or scary at first glance. However the room are very nice. They are well lit, well maintained and the staff is very helpful and accommodating. Overall very happy and surprised

The walls were old and chipping paint. There were two balconies looking out over the neighborhood houses, but no lights or view. Good location for walking to the Boardwalk, but I did not feel safe in the room. The door didn't close well (had to be forced), and there was a gentlemen who dropped his crack pipe as we were leaving our room. All in all, a good location, but if you can afford a better place I would go for it.

Room was clean, property was kept up although "older". Again, thought the room was really nice. Not much amenities as Covid is active but no places have much in amenities these days. Close to downtown Santa Cruz and beaches.

Stay was for 2 days. Check in was smooth, room was clean and smelled sanitized. Next day no room service even with no disturb sign taken out. Checked at 5 pm with front desk and told staff had gone home. Bring old towels to front desk and will give you new ones. Garbage not emptied, beds not made and coffee not replenished. Disappointed as this has happened twice on 2 day stays.

WE HAD A GOOD STAY. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN. THE WATER STAYED HOT AT ALL TIMES. THE STAFF WAS HELPFUL AND KIND. WILL KEEP COMING TO YOU FOR SURE.

Room was clean and area was quiet. Average service and commodities.
