Hyatt Centric Montevideo

Location was good...checking was easy and friendly. My room was not made up at 4:00 when I cam in at the end of the day however which wasn’t great.

This place is gorgeous, the staff were all very helpful, and the restaurant was fantastic. My wife and I were celebrating our 55th anniversary, and the hotel made it extra special by having a custom cake waiting for us in our room when we checked in! We were not expecting that, but it was a very welcome surprise!

This hotel is fantastic, Valentina at reception was most kind, helpful, informative and gracious. The rooms were clean and large with exceptional imenities including free bottled water, free wi-fi, underground parking and a fabulous breakfast buffet with a chef who is happy to make you an omelet if requested. Worth every penny and i look forward to staying again in the future.

Very nice brand hotel right across the Montivedeo sign and beach.

We liked the room. Two things we didn't like, they added the tips in the invoice and the bathroom had a little bit bad odor due to a drainpipe.

The staff: Great staff! Everyone was super nice and attentive. A note to management though: when we stayed the hotel was full and we saw the same staff working early in the morning during breakfast and late at night at dinner. The rooms: Modern, nice and clean with a great shower! The amenities: Great indoor pool! The ambience really helps you to relax. The gym is small but all the necessary equipment for a vacation workout. There’s the main restaurant where you can eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner. There’s also a bar - Moderno where after 15:00 you can get pub-style food and of course drinks. By the hotel there’s also a cafe accessible via the hotel lobby.

My wife and I spent ten fabulous days in the Hyatt Centric Hotel in Montevideo. The hotel is ideally located, right across the river, and is close to many restaurants and shops. It is also within walking distance from the bus stop that will take you anywhere you want to go in Montevideo. The hotel staff, in particular Valentina and Bruno, were extremely nice and helpful. They always greeted us with a smile and were happy to help with all our questions and requests. When they found out that my wife was celebrating a birthday, they surprised her with a small, but decadent cake beautifully decorated with fresh flowers and fresh fruits, with a lovely card congratulating her on behalf of the entire staff. That made her day. Our room was perfectly located on the top floor, overlooking the beach and the river. It had all the amenities we wanted, such as a coffee maker and an empty fridge so we could stock as desired. The bed was wonderful, and the bathroom facilities were spacious and comfortable, with rain shower which was lovely. The comfort we experienced at the hotel most definitely heightened our holidays in Montevideo and made our vacation a most pleasant one. We would love to go back to Montevideo, and we will definitely choose the Hyatt Centric for any future stay there.
