Model Farm Bed & Breakfast

Staff very welcoming and helpful. Room clean and warm (stayed in February). Breakfast very good. Some areas tired (conservatory), but understandable in a competitive market. And storm Ciara didn't help! We're due back in the area in May and will be booking again soon.

The location is isolated, but not hard to find. Our room was clean and pleasant.

The staff on check in were polite and friendly. The property is dated and could do with a make over but i have to say it does give the farm and old world vibe which surprised me as it was homely and welcoming even while being a little outdated. We were only staying for 1 night and had to be out early so the decoration wasn't a problem for us. The room was lovely and big along with a large king size bed. The walls are very thin and doors very creaky so we could hear people talking and coming and going. But even with that i must say i slept very well. We didn't have time to stay for breakfast as we had to be up and out by 7am and breakfast wasn't until 8am. Although we was advised at check in we could still pop down and have something quick to eat like scrambled eggs on toast or cereal if we would like to at 7am. 1 issue we did have was our room door didn't close properly (room 12) and it wasn't until we got back from visiting family late that night that we realised our door wasn't locked due to the door not closing properly. But the main door into our section was locked so not a big problem as we left nothing valuable in the room anyway. I have to say on arrival i wasn't sure about the Model farm but i have to say i would stay there again.

Great staff, clean and very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast choices. First time I’ve had cucumber and chives on my full English but brilliant all the same.

The welcome was lovely and the buildings were clean and well kept. The room was extremely comfortable - I could not have asked for anything more! There were two dressers, drinks facilities, a very clean bathroom, comfortable bed, armchair and desk, as well as good lighting and good natural light. The breakfast was varied and fresh and the conservatory where it was served was pleasant.

Very impressed with our stay , above what i expected for the price paid , enjoyable breakfast easy to find added extras a farm shop and butchery all in all hats off to the proprietor.

It was a good clean place to stay. Bed and room were very good. Would come again.
