Fox Den Bed and Breakfast

The property was beautiful and cozy. Just outside of downtown in a small and spaced out residential neighborhood was the Fox Den, tucked back on a hillside. There was a nice patio where my partner and I ate our homemade breakfast - it was so delicious each morning. We were served a yummy egg bake, fresh fruit and a freshly baked muffin or banana bread. Dan and Lori were very sweet and hospitable. It is easy to tell they very much enjoy hosting people. I saw Dan sanitizing every aspect of the common space multiple times in our two day stay. Masks were required as well which made us feel safe. The common area was not used but optional. Per safety, a breakfast basket was delivered to our door each morning so we had the option to avoid the indoor common area. As expected with any type of stay in a shared space during these times, there is not control of other guests. Unfortunately, there were a few times people were walking to and from their rooms without masks. In all, I am a very careful and safe person with the Pandemic. I felt very safe here, I felt in control of my environment, and my partner and I got the exact respite weekend we were looking for. I would recommend The Fox Den over and over!

The room was wonderful, the view was gorgeous, the amenities were great! It was the perfect location for my husband and I to be on our honeymoon.

During the time of Covid, it was nice to feel safe and well taken care of. The view (though it was marred by the smoke for most of the trip) was amazing. It was close to the city center but far enough away that you get secluded. They have a couple of ponies and some very friendly pets. The room itself was quite massive and well designed. The blue color of the arctic fox room is most calming and the decor is very chic. The jetted bathtub was the main sell of the place and it did not disappoint! I used it both nights we were there and it was so very relaxing. I took my mom with me for a mother daughter girls weekend so the tub in the middle of the room was a bit tricky haha. But we figured it out. We were welcomed with open arms and felt right at home as soon as we walked in. And if I had to name my absolute favorite thing(Hard to do) I would say the breakfast food. We couldn’t eat family style unfortunately, but the food we received was exquisite! Fresh fruits and some awesome pastry/muffin sides. And the main courses were hearty, very filling and again very tasty. Even after we left my mom and I couldn’t stop talking about the place and how much we appreciated it! It was much needed for sure. Can’t wait to come back and experience it when Covid is finally over! And we already have friends and family itching to also go! Thank you again! 😊

Our entire stay was beautiful from the moment we arrived. Our hosts graciously welcomed us into their home, which is gorgeous. We stayed in the Fennec Fox room and were treated to the sounds of crickets outside as we fell asleep in our huge comfortable bed. Maia, one of the many rescue animals on the property, was the star of the show, always ready to meet you before she's off to patrol. If you are looking for a great place to rest your soul, find some comfort at the Fox Den, you wont regret it!

Our stay was amazing. Lori and Dan made us feel so welcome. The homemade breakfasts were so good! They gave great recommendations of where to eat or things to do. I would definitely stay here again!

Dan and Lori the proprietors were a lovely couple and have a very comfortable and nice Bed and Breakfast . Come to Breakfast with a big appetite as they fix a Full Gourmet Meal . A couple minute drive to downtown Leavenworth . Definitely will be going back .
