The Brentwood Hotel by Greene King Inns

A very warm welcome and a comfortable stay. The staff were very conscious of COVID measures and distancing requirements. A lovely meal in the restaurant and the staff were especially accommodating of hotel guests on a busy evening. Breakfast the following morning was fabulous. It's also very convenient for access to/from the M1. Would stay again.

I have stayed here on numerous occasions, but the rooms are very tired now & badly in need of updating. Also there was a leak in the corridor a big wet patch on the carpet & an awful smell of damp - Just needs a little TLC & it will be back to how it should be.

I was given a disabled room which had a lovely big bed. But the bathroom was a wet room and smelt damp. good value for money though I would use again

The hotel is situated not far from the station, there are plenty of taxi's and a regular bus service to town with a bus stop directly outside. Staff were very welcoming and provided an excellent service. My room was on the ground floor in the annexe. The bathroom was a little tired but along with the room itself was clean. There was a large tv and the bed was comfortable.

Stayed for a weekend for a friends get-together. My room was on the top floor and there’s no lift, so admit I found the stairs a little challenging (I’m not young any more!). To be fair, they asked on check in how I was with stairs so I could have probably changed rooms. Room was large and clean, bed was very comfortable, bathroom was clean. Breakfast was fine (my dietary needs were catered for). The hotel is old but the friendly and accommodating staff make up for it. I would stay again.

Decent hotel for a great price, staff very friendly, breakfast was hearty, pub next door served good food and beer although real ale selection wasn’t that great. Only the bathroom let the room down, large chip out of bathtub and the shower hose was leaking quite badly.

We're a regular visitor to the hotel as we have friends living in Rotherham. The Brentwood always offers fantastic value for money and we always recommend it to other friends who are visiting too.

The bed was very comfortable but room was a bit dated. The breakfast was very good the full English breakfast was plentiful. I have used this hotel before and I will use it again.

Decent sized clean, warm room at a good rate. Slip sliding away away pun in bathroom will be lost on younger generation basically bring a bath mat or borrow one from reception if needed. Having a pub next door is ideal and reasonably priced food and beer. For those will enjoy the walk Tesco is 5 minutes away and Rotherham City Centre around 25 minutes and thankfully mostly downhill alternative catch the bus from outside the hotel which takes less than 10 minutes. Expect some background noise from the pub and people banging doors in corridors at the hotel at night but still managed to get two nights of decent sleep. Cleaning, Reception and Bar staff all excellent and friendly. Visiting Sheffield very easy on the Supertram which is located 5 minutes walk from interchange/bus station at Rotherham and takes less than 30 minutes to reach Sheffield City Centre. (Train service was terrible due to point failure, missing train crews and generally delayed so stick to the Supertram)
