Pearl Grand Hotel

I was there initially for 3 days but eventually I ended there nearly 6 days! It was not really the top class yet given current tariffs of Colombo hotels I would say easily it is value for the money you pay! I did not find anything particularly alarming rather than one evening that the hotel key did not work so the electricity was not in the room. Fortunately, they have efficiently handled the case and sorted out the issue. Apparently, it was a thundery night with occasional heavy it was a tripping circuit breaker. The room and toilet was acceptable clean. The service rendered was good. It was observed, in the restaurant, they take far too long to serve you a pineapple! It took nearly 30 minutes once which they gradually improved but I thought about 15 minutes is too long for one single drink! Overall, I would say, the quality of service satisfactory.

A short stay. The staff like pretty much everyone else I met in Sri Lanka was incredibly nice. They were all helpful and kind. Room service was prompt and the fried rice was good. Treadmill was good but AC in fitness area was not great.
