Harbor Inn

We may have been there on the hottest day of the year, but the little air conditioner could not get the loft of our room cool. The beds are very hard and uncomfortable and the space near the sink/microwave was very cramped.

We inter acted with no one, perhaps a plusin the time of covid. very small, plain motel but very near wherewe wanted to be.

We were a block from the beach and it was open this weekend from being shut down. Super close to an awesome breakfast place. Centrally located within Santa Cruz to pleasure point and east cliff, and Marianne’s ice cream. We’ll be back

So many things I loved here. The location is wonderful - for both the beach and wonderful shopping/dining/tourist options, the decor is vintage and adorable, the rooms are clean, comfortable and there are options for those who need accessibility. I extended my stay for a day, so I got to see two rooms and loved them both. My parents were so impressed, they have it on their list for their next stay, and since I was here for my sister's baby shower - they will be back often! Harbor Inn will have to deal with my family for many years to come. Finally, in a REALLY expensive town, this place was a reasonable choice, which was so appreciated.

First impressions: kind and responsive staff, musty odor in room, toilet needed plunging, but Erick took great care of us. The room was cute, and beds were comfortable. I don't recommend the fold out bed. Outdoor patio for chillin' with a brew. I only wish we had more time there.

Great location, friendly staff and very clean. Heating system kind of noisey.

Unique property. Quite old. Unfortunately my room was close to the road so it was not quiet at all. The room however did furnish everything I could want - coffee & coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave, iron, fan, etc.

Cassandra greeted us at the front desk. She is very friendly and her recommendation for restaurant was right on! Bldg was old but kept clean. I will use this place when we visit Santa Cruz area.

First of all, this place is super-clean. I have visited several times and each time is as clean as the other times. Next, when I requested additional sheets and blankets they went beyond my expectations and actually folded out the futon to make it into a bed, putting sheets on it for me and laying out the pillows. The rooms are decorated in a casual yet charming manner. The customer service here is outstanding -very genuinely nice - and they are very kind to my nephew. I appreciate that they wait to charge my credit card until I get there and make arrangements with you if you plan to arrive after they close the office. I have tried other places in Santa Cruz but I always end up returning to Harbor Inn. Also, it is in a quiet and safe environment with plenty of space for free comfortable parking. It is minutes away from the Harbor/Crow's Nest/Harbor Cafe and not too far away from downtown or the Boardwalk. In fact, it's in between Santa Cruz and Capitola. Easy drive to Capitola on East Cliff Drive. I will surely return.
