Best Western Nursanickel Hotel

NOT horrible but not great. The door was actually open (so we just pushed it open) when we arrived. The TV didn't work and there was no remote in the room. After messing with it and resetting the satelite, we finally got it to work, but had do the the same thing. The replaced remote only worked to change the channels, but not for volume and the TV was fuzzy sounding. Bed was fine, heater was pretty noisy. Room was clean and the bathtub (jetted) was clean and deep enough for a tall person to soak, which was nice. Overall was an ok place to stay, but couple annoyances and just looked a little worn around the edges. But I'm sure it was not the worst in town and definitely have stayed in worst places. Would probably stay again given the location and layout. Some modern updates - value was there and very nice in Covid times to have a door that opened to the outside, rather than a hallway.

Not a bad place, especially for the money and considering the lack of viable options. Train noise could be an issue depending on time of day but I slept through the night. For lunch or dinner go to the XIT Grill. :-)

We found the stay to be very clean and comfortable. We found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful, both night staff and early morning. Truly one of the better experiences we’ve had during Covid. We will definitely stay at this property again.

Be sure to request earplugs for the train. Also, the sink was not draining. Upon checkout, I could not inform the front desk because no one was there.

I think this motel was previously another brand. It was not as large as modern BWs. Everything worked OK. Breakfast was good per COVID times. Flies were an issue.

When I checked out I asked for a receipt but was told that I had to get it from Expedia. I've never had that happen before. When I pay for something I expect to be provided a receipt. I'm very disappointed with that kind of treatment

The wifi was very bad, could not use it after 2 hrs when we checked in. The techs couldnot solve the problem after serveral hrs, also the manager. Computer, phones and tablet did not work.

Gabriel was a fantastic host at the front desk. He helped me on the phone, arrival and all around huge help.

The hotel is easy to access and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The amenities were very limited but that is due to COVID so no fault of the hotel or staff. The hotel is very near a main railroad so if you are a light sleeper the couple trains during the night may wake you up. As Dalhart is known for its cattle feedlots that also means a few houseflies.
