The hotel staff were courteous and the hotel itself was clean and well-run, the room was comfortable and quiet.

I’ve stayed at this property several times with family and we’re always pleased with the service. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Great location within walking distance of everything. Safe and clean and simple. I have no complaints and will definitely be staying here again!

This my second time (and second review) at this hotel and definitely not the last. It’s simple, inexpensive safe and close to everything. I’ve never had any problems there. The staff is friendly and attentive and beds are made daily. I travel for a living and spend most of the time in different hotels from upscale to simple. Therefore I go prepared..I take my own toiletries because I can’t always depend on hotels to have everything I need especially when a place is inexpensive.

poor customer service, no a/c or fan in room, no wifi. Wall plugs old/outdated, bathroom very outdated. No do not disturb indicator for the door, lock for door very old, felt unsafe.

Not recommended. The room was small, too warm, and lacking in supplies (no shampoo, conditioner, etc.) The staff was friendly and accommodating. The neighborhood leaves a lot to be desired, especially at night.

I was there with family for a weekend trip to Mexico City. I've stayed at another hotel near the area many times in the past so I was already familiar where I would be staying this time around. Hotel New York is near many attractions, restaurants, convinience stores, subway stations, etc and all within walking distance. It's in a quiet area which is important to me. Our experience at hotel was positive. Our room was clean and quiet and we felt safe. The room was cleaned daily. The staff was friendly. Checkin and check out was fast. I always bring my own toiletries when I travel so I wasn't bothered that all they provide is a bar of soap. The elevator was working perfectly. I would defenitely go back!

What I liked the most was the quiet and peaceful atmosphere. I came in Mexico City to attend a conference, and I heard many colleagues complaining about noise and impossibility to sleep at night. In my case, it was different; my room windows were facing the inner yard and it was absolutely quiet and nothing disturbed my sleep. The location turned out quite good: very close to the conference center and at the same time in the midst of residential area which gives more authentic experience to visitors. What can be improved is amenities: it would be good to provide some shampoo and body wash, not just tiny soup. Electric plugs were also not in a perfect condition; I could only use one to charge my devices. However, all this was compensated for me by the staff’s friendliness and cleanliness of the room. Another important detail is that the entire hotel is non-smoking. Overall, if you come with low expectations like me, I think you may get a very positive impression.

The hotel is located in a very safe neighborhood in Mexico City. We walked out for tacos around 3am and we got back safe. It is close to restaurants, tourist attractions, and nightlife. On Friday when we got there, the elevator was not working, by Saturday morning it was up and running and around 3:00pm it stopped working again. The hotel advertised that they had a/c but they actually did not. We asked if we could borrow an iron and they did not have one so we walked around the city with wrinkles on our clothes. They did not have cable and the beds were as uncorfable as sleeping on bare concrete. Hotels.com sent me a notification that our checkout was at 1:00pm therefore I scheduled my time around that time but by noon I had people knocking on my door asking me to leave because they needed to clean. When I asked the front desk about the discrepancy he insisted that hotels.com was wrong.
