Mercure Riga Centre

Lovely hotel. We arrived couple of hours before check in time and got checked in early without any additional charges. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast had a wide variety to suit everyone's taste. Overall great hotel and would recommend it in future.

We had a great stay at the hotel. Good facilities, big rooms. The staff was great and very friendly and helpful with our requests. They even brought us some cakes as it was my friend's birthday. The hotel is located very centrally, right next to the train station and within walking distance to all the main attractions and Old Riga.

Outstanding front desk staff, room was quiet, clean, only issue was trying to control the heat, at times very cold, other times very hot. would stay again

Comfortable room, great beds, excellent breakfast and location, added bonus

The room was much too hot on my first night and the wifi didn't work, but these issues were fixed quickly when I raised them. The floors were very mucky and there were ominous stains in places. Staff were lovely and felt they deserved to be working in a nicer hotel!

The hotel is well located next to Riga Central Station. Room was not up to date, door damaged and bathroom not very clean. Maintenance work (loud drilling and hammering) started on Friday and Saturday morning at exactly 9am, and a complaint meant it resumed on Sunday at 11am, so the slee0 wasn't totally ruined. Check-in staff could not believe that two men would check into a double room of a city centre hotel in 2019, so we made it clear that as a gay couple this is what we want, but another comment from check-in staff about "I assume you need two rooms", "do you not want twin beds" and the bed being "big enough" immediately followed. Sad to see that homophobia is still so present in Latvia, especially because the city, architecture and the vast majority of people are lovely.

This is a centrally located hotel not far from the railway and coach stations and a short stroll away from the old town with major sights for seeing. Excellent service, friendly, personable, and helpful staff, good breakfast with a variety of food and drinks, both cold and warm. The rooms are cosy, spacious, and modern. The rooms have all necessary amenities which makes stay truly comfortable.

Just okay. Nothing Spectacular, the room we have was called "Privileged" which I couldnt figure out why, because the bathroom had dim light (awful for putting on makeup) and the shower flooded the floor. It did have parking and airport shuttle which cost extra, but were helpful.

The staff were all very helpful when needing information about public transport in Riga. The public bus and mini bus from the airport were convenient for the hotel. The staff in the dining room were also very efficient, plates were cleared and tables cleaned and reset quickly. I would happily recommend this hotel.
