Virgin Islands Campground

This was our second stay here and let me say... we will definitely be back!! Deborah, Mark and Lori are simply amazing! They made sure our stay was perfect from check-in to check-out and everything in between! Water Island is such a laid back and relaxing spot! Beautiful views and the nicest people you will ever meet. Highly recommend!

We were looking to get away from everything and everyone. This was perfect! Mark who runs the property was very helpful and kind!

View was obstructed by overgrown brush. No ventilation in bathroom. No ac. Trail to beach was barely passable. Nice area but not much effort in making it better. Noticed lack of motivation from most of the island. Standards are quite low.

Great campground and unique experience! It was very clean with friendly caretakers! Snorkeling gear rental option is very convenient.

The camp ground was perfect just what we needed. The island had great beaches and snorkeling just a walk down the road. The bed was comfortable and the breeze blew threw at night while we fell asleep listening to the waves. Very relaxed atmosphere. We are both so glad to have chosen this as a place to stay. There is a great kitchen area with fridge and a grill and hammock. The fellow that runs it does an excellent job and is onsite if we ever needed anything. We would definitely return here if we came back.

The perfect getaway. The hosts were welcoming and helpful, the property is well kept and provides anything you need. This is a place to escape the commercial trappings of most tourist destinations and if you don’t mind a few inconveniences you’ll have an unforgettable experience.

Very remote island with small number of residents. Eco friendly location. Perfect view of the ocean. Room was clean, linens were clean, placement of units is perfectly nestled on property with plenty of trees to shield other units.

I loved the 'no frills' about this place. It was the perfect getaway. Very quiet, very lovely and remote. It felt like a second home for the few days we were there. Very comfortable and relaxing place to be. My only complaint, and I am very fit, was the steep hike up the small hill to get to the common area. My feet kept slipping out of my sandals. Other than that it was great.

Excellent, 5 star, Glamping accommodations. The view was fantastic from our porch. The open air kitchen was well equipped with common appliances, dishes, utensils and condiments. VERY RELAXING VACATION. Honeymoon Beach is a smooth sandy beach with open air bar / restaurants at each end. The beach chairs are for customers. -- We just had to buy a Bloody Mary or one of the Rum based drinks. A couple of things to keep in mind, 1) Water Island is a small very HILLY island. Renting a golf cart from Rachael to get around is very helpful. 2) Suggest bringing some basic foods, the're not a lot of convenient food stores.

Our little cabin was cute and cozy. It really was adorable. However, they are in need of pillow upgrades, as ours were super flat. Unfortunately, it also housed several lizards. The beach that is at the bottom of the resort is not ideal. It’s not super easy to get to, it’s covered in a layer of dead Seagrass and it is only recommended for strong swimmers. At the campsite there is an occasional foul odor every so often that we believe had something to do with the compost toilets, but aren’t 100% sure. With all that said, the property managers seem to be great people. They were very nice and the facility was well taken care of and clean! The entire vibe of the island is very peaceful and everyone makes you feel at home! Honeymoon beach on the island is amazing. We swam with sea turtles everyday, and once we swam with a sting ray and a small nurse shark.
