Howard Johnson by Wyndham Lake George

The motel was being newly renovated. Cute room but was placed in the very back away from everyone. Service was good. Breakfast too early. Great location.

Clean, within walking distance to everything, easy check in and check out. For the price, I’d stay there again.

Overall the hotel was what I expected. It was very clean and very close to Lake George village. We really wanted to stay on the lake but it was last minute and everything else was booked up. If you are looking for a Lake George experience of hanging out on the lake and relaxing then I suggest another hotel. If you just want a clean and reasonably priced place to stay within walking distance to the village then this would work. Lots of things within walking walking distance but again I didn’t get the Lake George vibe staying here. Staff was really friendly. One thing was that it said breakfast is included but there was never any breakfast that I saw in the lobby. On our first night there was a few sketchy people hanging outside the hotel that didn’t seem to be guests so I was a little creeped out but nothing after that first night. It’s also very noisy because you are right on a busy part of the highway but it didn’t bother us. Again it was expected and were fully aware when we booked.

This property was absolutely disgusting. There was poop on the wall in the bathroom, chemicals on the wall, wet walls in the bathroom, black mold in the bathroom on the wall, the room smelled dirty, the beds and sheets felt waxy and left a residue on your skin. There was no phone in the room, the internet stopped working at 11pm and didn’t come back until morning. They told me at check in, I was forced to cancel my Expedia reservation and was to only book through the hotel it’s self. They then canceled my reservation without my consent and booked it through them.

Was mold in bathroom and no hot water pressure.

The ac unit did not work properly stated 60* and it was way above 70* The room smelled like musty. Pillows were paper thin. I figured for 250.00 a night the place should be in better conditions.

It was a good stay

The room was nice, but small. There was no closet or luggage rack. We ended up lining up our luggage against the wall on the floor. It was nice that there was a microwave and small fridge. We had a king size bed, I don't know about the rooms with two queen size beds, if they are bigger. It was also nice that there was a table with two chairs.

Great location. Very small room. Very thin walls. Could hear our neighbors on both sides, above and below. Constant door slamming and yelling. Water pressure in bathroom is nonexistent. Pool is nice but not a lot of seating.
