Mitsui Garden Hotel Hiroshima

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great buffet breakfast.

Well located near the peace park and right at a hop on hop off bus stop. The only problem was for 3 people they squeezed an extra bed into a twin room, so there was absolutely no space between them.

The heater is to hot. We had a hard time sleeping. Please have an option to use Airconditioning or heater.

We stayed at the Mitsui Garden Hiroshima for 3 nights over the New Year period. This is a very comfortable hotel just steps from a whole neighborhood of excellent restaurants and bars and if you’re not up for walking, there’s a tram stop a short block away to access all the city sights and transport hubs with ease. We were upgraded to an Executive Room on the 24th floor and the room was very clean, spacious and had spectacular views over the city and harbour. Breakfast is on the 25th floor and provided a good selection of both Western and Japanese options and again, fabulous views while you eat. The rates for this hotel were excellent value and Hiroshima in general was much gentler on the pocket in comparison to other cities in Japan. Highly recommend hiring bikes (there’s a bike share dock just near the front of the hotel) and riding around the city. There are a lot of hotels in Hiroshima at this price point to choose from and I was extremely pleased to have picked the Mitsui Garden as our base in Hiroshima.

Great location/ in walking distance to the Ginza and all of the food and shopping. The room was very hot and the AC didn’t work. We had a 1 year old in a queen room, was smaller than we wanted but wasn’t too bad

We checked into the hotel on cold day and the hotel had the air handling system on heat. It is one of the few hotels that have a central air system with little control of the temperature in the rooms. The rooms were really warm and would not get cooler. When complained, the staff did bring in a fan that would only recirculate the warm air inside the room. I noticed that they did have a collection of fans indicating that warm rooms is a common situation at the hotel. Since the rooms were too warm to sleep, we asked for a change of rooms, and the staff indicated that all rooms are the same. So we informed them that we can’t stay there and checking out requesting a refund. Refund was denied as we booked thru Expedia. We checked into crown plaza hotel few doors away which was very accommodating and had a functioning air handling system. If you have difficulty in sleeping in a very warm room, I would not select the Mitsue Garden Hotel.
