Annapolis Royal Inn

Very nice and clean. beds were very comfortable . The staff was wonderful Joanne made you feel like you were right at home . I would stay there Again .

i am a handicapped person in a wheelchair. although i had an "accessible" room with a ramp leading up to that room. however, that ramp was not flush to the driveway and my husband had to physically lever me onto the ramp just to get to the doorway. and to enter the room there was yet another 6" bump. there is no way that lone wheelchair-bound travellers could enter this facility on their own power. i do believe that the elderly patrons generously offered my husband a wedge to assist with room entry, however, the angle of entry compounded with the metal track in the doorframe to bump over, made entry and exit problematic. however, the room was clean, the surroundings pleasant, the hosts sincere. when i was booking rooms for this "celtic colours" fall holiday in annapolis royal, this was the only hotel i could find within town that appeared to have ground level entry, that was not a renovated victorian mansion/B&B rife with stairs or narrow doorways. this was a problem repeated in just about EVERY restaurant or souvenir shop on the main drag, save for the historic gardens and a few others that were closed for the season. this is a beautiful, historic area and must process thousands of tourists every year - so i cannot believe that NO ONE else, albeit few others - have clued in about accessibility. perhaps i have not done my research properly, or this was the wrong time of year to travel. but even some of the most tucked away properties in cape breton had access.

Reasonably clean and comfortable....for a 3 star hotel

Don't judge this one by its exterior (aging Holiday Inn look); the rooms are updated and look out over a bucolic setting just outside of the downtown area. It's easy to get into town from here and you don't have to deal with crowds. The staff is super friendly and the breakfast choices were sufficient in a comfortable dining room. You can't beat what you get for the money with this one.

The Inn is a little outside of Annapolis Royal, a little far to walk back into town for most people, which means using the car. Breakfast was basic, mainly cold items, but they had some waffle machines that did a good job. Decent sized room that was well equipped with microwave and fridge.

Good, convenient, quiet location. Could use a little sprucing up, though.

Quant furnishings proide an at home atmospheres. Breakfast was good.
