Hotel Palazzo del Capitano Wellness & Relais - Historic Luxury Capitano Collection

This was such a beautiful hotel, located in a beautiful area. The staff were friendly and helpful. My husband and I stayed here for our honeymoon and would DEFINITELY stay here again in the future! The hot tub/jacuzzi was a HUGE plus with our legs being sore from walking and exploring all the nearby villages.

The place was amazing. The staff was very attentive and welcoming. The facility was very nice and clean the rooms were very comfortable , the garden was beautiful enjoyed wine and coffee there. Everyone was very pleasant as well as the restaurant. We will definitely recommend this place to family and friends.

Getting to the hotel is a BIG challenge!...the hotel should clarify the directions to get there. Additionally, no place to park the car at all!! It was quite horrible just to off load the luggage. To keep the car overnight, had to go to another outside parking location. There was only one person trying to check-in three arrivals...so no help and long wait! :-( Other than the above: the rooms are clean...although no elevator to get up to the rooms...so get ready to carry luggage over many stairs! :-)

The location is great, their restaurant is excellent and the exterior garden is nice. We had 2 rooms. One smelled liked an old wood chimney and the toilet seat was coming off. The door squeezed loudly. Air conditioner in 2nd room did not work at all.

The staff were very nice and helpful, from greeting to showing us all the amenities. The gardens were beautiful. We parked below in public parking and walked a short distance uphill to get there, inside a very old walled city, very picturesque. Breakfast was great. This property is ideally located to venture out into Tuscany.

Everything was spoiled, we enjoyed it very much Hope to come back

Hotel is really cool - it is in the center of a walled town in an old stone building. Beautiful garden area off the second floor. Rooms were a little funky as might be expected but clean and totally serviceable. The staff was great - loved Coco and Mario. Coco drove down to the parking area below town to grab our bags for us and was just a friendly and helpful guy. The town of San Quirico d'Orcia is pretty but kind of on the quiet side. We liked it for a night but in retrospect with limited time in Tuscany I would have voted for Orvieto or maybe Siena or Montalcino over this town. The hotel restaurant that is off the grounds was highly recommended to us but ended up being one of the most disappointing meals of our trip. Hate to say that because maybe they had an off night but it was a completely uninspired meal in a trip that was full of great ones.

Beautiful hotel. Excellent restaurant. San Quirico is a hidden gem.
