Essence Hotel Boutique & Spa by Don Paquito

I loved the decor it made it feel really special. The staff we’re really helpful and spoke good English. The only let down is that the corridors were really echoey so when a couple of rooms down came home in the early hours each night and talking really loudly it felt like they were in our room. I guess we could have asked to live rooms but it was only a short stay so didn’t seem worth the hassle.

Highly recommend this hotel. Staff helpful and friendly. Facilities good overall. Menu to suit all tastes, although more labelling would have been useful. Location good, only two minute stroll to beach and nearby restaurants and bars. Fifteen minute amble to centre and railway station with connection to Malaga airport( rail tickets rechargeable so don't discard) Mixture of music played in restaurant/hotel but would appreciate more Spanish, Rodrigo for example. Recommend Pepe Lopez Flamenco show if you want some Spanish culture.

The hotel was very nice. Food options for breakfast and dinner weren’t great. Excellent service from staff. Room service however could have been better.

Very nice hotel - good location in torremolinos, near the beach and various restaurants and bars. The hotel has a nice pool area which wasn’t too busy, good food options and good facilities. Clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay again

Just returned from a stay at the Essence Hotel Boutique & Spa by Don Paquito with my daughter. The hotel did not disappoint, is small enough to feel personal and the staff are all very friendly. Our room was at the front of the hotel facing the road, was slightly worried out this but was not overly noisy. I did not have dinner at the hotel, which cost 20€, so cannot comment. The reception staff were very informative and helpful when asked tourist related questions.

Well positioned hotel, clean, friendly staff. Only slight criticism sometimes buffet food was not hot enough and after a few days became slightly boring, we were half board.6 nights.

Location is excellent for the beach, Irish pubs and town. Loved the pool area with steam room. Unfortunately, an all female party took over the pool area, bagging the best places and being loud. The room was clean, but we're had better bathrooms on cruise ships. There was nowhere to place our things other than the floor. The large shower was okay, but the bathroom need a work surface or some kind of surround for the sink. The balcony was pleasant overlooking for pool. We struggled with breakfast - no teapots, no green tea, nice fresh fruit, soya milk on request, one drinks machine with long queues, mushrooms tasted like they'd be sterilised, undercooked tomatoes, watery and tasteless baked beans. Wouldn't recommend it as a vegan.

Very relaxing. Rooms are clean and the pool area is very good. Employees are always smiling. Sound proofing is relatively good. Beds are comfortable (not the most for a 4 star though). The hotel location is simply perfect: close to the centre but in a more quiet location. I will definitely come back to this hotel. Bidet too close to the wall, but this is the genius of the architect... negative sides: the music in the pool is too loud and random, i would have appreciated more "lounge music" to be able to read a book in peace. Also, when leaving the luggages after check out would be better if a ticket is released by the receptionist which identify the luggage, rather than having the clients taking the luggages self-service style, which might lead in some "perroflauta" stealing your luggage...! I give it 5 stars because nothing happened, but still this is not the way of managing luggages of checked out clients for a 4 star hotel.
