Good Location. Nice modern room. Staff very helpful & friendly. Enjoyed my stay!

This inn steps away from the Piazza d'Italia is perfectly situated for exploring Perugia on foot. There is nearby parking for a fee. As with most boutique hotels in historic buildings, the ancient charm comes with trade-offs. The bathroom was cramped, the elevator slow and tiny, the floors are uneven, etc. My only real complaint is that the bed was really substandard. The staff couldn't be nicer and the facilities are spotless.

This has got to be one of the finest hotels I have ever stayed in, not just in terms of the building itself (an historic 18th century Italian post office tastefully converted into a hotel, yet still showcasing its architectural heritage) but most crucially the service provided by the outstanding staff. The Locanda was our base in Perugia as we spent four days exploring it and other parts of Umbria. It was so nice to come home (in every sense of that word) after a long day's adventures and just relax before dinner. And circling back to the staff, we had booked a cooking class and vineyard tour in Orvieto, and needed a driver to take us there and back. They not only hired a driver but a true gentleman who regaled us with all kinds of facts and local history that we never would have known otherwise. What a treat! Our room was spacious, modern and immaculate, with a bathroom that had a walk-in shower at least 8 feet wide with a rain head as well as a hand nozzle; so wonderful to have, especially after hiking through the hill towns during an unusually hot summer. Breakfast featured a wide assortment of delicious local meats, cheeses, pastries as well as fare for American and other tastes that fueled us all day. Can't really add anything else except to say that when I return to Perugia, the Locanda della Posta is far and away my first choice. Grazie mille to Hamid, Samantha and the entire staff.

A gem of a contemporary hotel in the very heart of Perugia ... staff were super friendly and helpful ... breakfast was lovely set in beautiful rooms ... our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, like new and very modern! There parking was very handy & easy and we would highly recommend this place as such a perfect spot and we couldn't have been more comfortable or happy with choosing here!

The service staff was excellent. They helped with bags, dinner suggestions And the room was just fabolus , nice views and The design is superb ! Great breakfast as wekl

It was an absolutely wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was very well appointed, exceptionally clean, and comfortable. The location was perfect. We are seasoned travelers and found the Locanda to be one of the best getaways we ever had.

Great location in old city center. Front desk staff helpful with restaurant recommendations, directions and tour coordination. Would stay again and highly recommend. Breakfast selection was wonderful.
