Holiday Inn Express Dubai Jumeirah

Staff is always very friendly!

I am very disappointed with this hotel and hotels.com. I booked to stay at this hotel during March11th-March 14th 2020 so I can go on a cruise but then the Covid pandemic was called and my flight and my cruise was cancelled so I was unable to go to the hotel. The hotel then stated that even though I was unable to make it to the hotel due to the pandemic that I was a no show and stated that they will not be processing me a refund. I am also a frontline worker and I have been trying since March to get a refund and they refuse to do so despite the contingencies this hotel may have to cover a loss as such. I find it very dishonorable that a company hotels.com and Holiday Inn could not provide me with a refund given the circumstances. It is very disappointing and when the pandemic is over I will ensure that my family and friends will not use hotels.com nor Holiday Inn for any of our travels.

To describe this hotel in one word, I would choose "sloppy". Staff were nice and accommodating but the rooms were not clean at all, especially the bathroom. Very disappointing for a hotel rated five star.

All good but can be improved upon. The food should include African meals too

The breakfast was great.Several hot options,salad items such as olive, cheese, dates, cold cuts,fresh fruits, 3 kind of juices. hot and cold cereal, several kinds of bread and great coffee. The staff at the front desk was polite, helpful and tried to solve the problems we had with housekeeping. We booked a room for 3 people and for the first 5 days we had to ask for the third bath towel .It was annoying. Finally my daughter said the if the problem was not solved she would speak with the manager. Another problem was with the sofabed. Some days it was not folded back as a sofa , some days they left it half way folded back. The housekeeping staff needs to upgrade their service. It was quite disappointing. We were almost changing hotels because of the bad service we got.

Everything was fine at the beginning (check in) we enter on Wednesday night and that night we asked for an iron (for our clothes) which was delivered at the room (it took lots of time) on the next day we went out of the hotel and we left a Do Not Disturbe sigh out of the room, on Friday morning we needed the iron again and we discovered the iron was removed from our room without notice or permission, basically someone entered our room to take it!!! We complained to the manager in charge and expressed how inappropriate this event has been. They said they will investigate which I do not care anymore, I got all our belongings in the room, our passports and shopping things. This has been an invasion of property, sadly...

Very nice facility. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly front desk and room service staff.

Yusra and Anna at front desk were very friendly and helpful! They made our stay warm and pleasant. They are a great asset to the hotel. The housekeeping staff was fantastic and kept our room neat and clean always. The only issue I have with this hotel is small room sizes. I wish the rooms were a little bit bigger. Breakfast was amazing every morning.

The staff did try there best to rectify the room issue at check in. I really liked the shuttle service to Dubai Mall. The breakfast was good but I've stay at other comparably priced hotels in Dubai and had better free breakfasts that offered a omelet station and more choice.Over all this hotel was good.

The Breakfast bar was fantastic. The staff were brilliant - super friendly and will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I stupidly left my headphone at the gym, the cleaners handed it to reception - i was impressed with the honest and integrity of the staff. Location is great - must try the Truck ada restaurant, which is 2 min walk away. Overall Fantastic stay.
