Hotel Al Madarig

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Madarig. The staff was excellent. The front desk clerk taught my 9 year old son an Italian phrase everyday. Above and beyond friendliness. At breakfast a staff member looked out for my son everyday with his decaf cappuccino. The location is fantastic. Convenient to lots of restaurants. We truly enjoyed our stay .

Hotel is locates in an excellent area. All Restaurants are walking distance and beach also close. If you have a car there is also plenty to see and visit around this area.

Good hotel, a bit quaint, but in a good way. Helpful and friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble, and everything was done with a smile. Cleanliness was good. Room size ok to good. Breakfast is reasonable, everything you'd want. Great location, very close to beach, and restaurants. In a good area generally. We really enjoyed our stay.

We spent our last night in Sicily at a hotel Al Madarig. The room was very quiet & comfortable - lovely bedlinen & everything was spotlessly clean. We were greeted very graciously when we arrived & also when we checked out. The only weakness I’d say was the quality of the breakfast. We spent the morning of our final day on a beautiful beach with sunlounger & parasol not far from the hotel. We would stay there again & can recommend it to those visiting the area.

A very central location and walking distance to much of the town. The bed and pillows were a bit firm for our tastes; however, an incredibly fantastic staff.

The tiles in the shower need attention and the flooring around the wardrobe is discoloured. The room was a bit dated. Breakfast was excellent. Lots of choices, fresh food and lovely coffee.

Very easy, welcoming check in. We had a lovely room at the end of the second floor overlooking the sea so it was quiet. The room had been refurbished to be a modern polished concrete floor with minimalistic furniture but was well appointed & clean. There was an air conditioning failure in the hotel one night but the staff resolved it as quickly as they could. The breakfast room is light & airy with a great selection of continental breakfast.

This property is located in the quiet part of town but near several restaturants and stores. The marina is a nice 3 -4 minute walk where the locals gather for the catch of the day. The marina has numerous restaurants that offer excellent selections.

Great position in town centre. Excellent breakfast. Only small issue was that wifi was a little variable at times. Otherwise, all excellent.

The hotel was a great base for discovering Erice, Marsala, Segesta, and Palermo. But the best part was the fishing village of Castelemare del Golfo. Our stay was in early June and the summer crowds had not arrived yet, but the town was very walkable and just steps from the hotel. We are coming back! The hotel itself was clean, safe, had some parking, and excellent breakfast. Mariella, Ivan and the other desk staff could not have been more helpful with questions about local restaurants, sights and airport details. Our rooms faced the back courtyard which was good as we like quiet rooms and often nap in the afternoons. The front rooms face the square and the sea. I am sure that there is lots of nightlife there in the summertime which might come with some noise. But our rooms were very comfortable with nice sized showers and bathrooms. Rooms also have safes and good storage for luggage and clothing. There is an elevator as well. Free WiFi which was good. 30 minute and 50 Euro taxi ride to Palermo's airport. We are already planning our return there!
