Holiday Inn Express Los Angeles Airport Hawthorne

The area, guests, and parking felt a little sketch. It was clean and decent but I didn’t feel 100% safe. I wouldn't stay again. Parking free. Located across the street in a janky gated lot. $30 per night incidental charge. They accept credit/debit.

Its was average but there was a wierd smell i probably wont stay there again.

We had reserved a non-smoking room. However, my fiance and I could tell that this was NOT a non-smoking room the moment we entered the room, due to strong smell of cigarettes. In addition to that there was a large stain on the curtains which I took a picture of. There were also visible yellow and black stains on both the blanks and bed sheets. I attempted calling the front desk twice to request for room change but was placed on hold for over 10 minutes both times and was never answered. We went to front desk to request for room change and explained the detailed reason for the request. It only took few seconds for the front desk lady to check on the system for any availability until she told us the hotel is fully booked so she wouldn’t grant our request. Everybody knows businesses like hotels are currently the most affected due to pandemic and for being a low-season hotel rates are comparatively cheaper than usual. The front desk lady had even told me during our check-in that the rates are lower than usual at this moment given current circumstances. I had stayed at so many different hotels before, including inn and motels, and this is by far the worst hotel experience which is the reason why I am leaving a review for the first time ever in my life. I doubt this hotel is following any COVID guidelines because they def failed in cleanliness, making the customers like me feel very unsafe. I will never ever consider reservations with any hotels associated with IHG.

I still haven’t received my deposit back

Had to wait for more then 30 mins for the receptionist upon arrival at about 10:30pm. Dirty black stain on my bedsheet, no water boiler, no room to room call, stains on armchair in my room, room heating not working.

I would not recommend this hotel. Parking lot is across the street and the neighborhood seems sketchy. The room had a very particular smell and furniture was not clean.

Hotel was ok. Suite was nice. No breakfast thanks to covid. Neighborhood was kind of shaky

When i first walked to yhe lobby, it smelled like cigarettes, i would suggest having an air freshner in the lobby.
