I have stayed here every time I’ve visited Miami for the past 9 years and regretfully have to admit this hotel had gone downhill. I have seen the general atmosphere of the place slowly diminish through out the years, but the cleanliness of the place was never jeopardized, up until now. I would have never guessed they’d allow it to get this far. 0830am strolling through the hotel on a Sunday morning I was mortified. There were pizza boxes stacked a foot high, garbage everywhere through out the common areas and lobbies, dark red staining on the marble floors (Versailles Tower) from drinks being spilled and never mopped up, condom wrappers in the elevator, used masks randomly on the ground (mostly around the beach and pool area). This is the first time I’ve ever experienced an unsatisfactory room as well, the pay bar was not restocked, tissues left fallen into the box, mirror light did not work, mold in the tiles of the shower and the shower door did not close leaving a flood every time we’d take a shower, and no robes replenished in the closet. A clientele of escorts attended the bleau bar each night, left us speechless and repulsed at the openness of the illegal business around us. The restaurants were still delicious, and service was friendly and accommodating but unfortunately that is not enough for me to reconsider booking here. I genuinely hope they consider all these negative reviews seriously and turn this place around before it’s too late.
I have stay at this Hotel before and always had an amazing experience. This last time I was disappointed because I didn’t get the room I usually get and expected. When I tried to get
Great customer service overall. Pools and beach were wonderful. Our suite was clean and had great views. A fun and busy hotel. I wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a quiet stay. The few complaints we had: 1) The reduced hours for room service. You can only order breakfast due to Covid? It makes it very difficult to get lunch or dinner without a long wait at any of the restaurants on-site. Staff also recommend Grubhub, however, be prepared for it to take 1.5 hours to get your food. 2) On day 4 of our stay we had to get new wristbands to have access to the pools or beach. It was not well messaged and several families/couples had to wait for a very long time to get new bands. Only one worker was checking in new and current guests.
This is not a 4.5 star hotel - maybe it was in the past. It also cannot handle the recent influx of visitors to Miami. I would never stay here again - it's not relaxing. There are lines to do everything - lines to get beach chairs, lines to get coffee. There's limited room service. The restaurants on-site were booked to capacity many days before arrival.
Extremely bad service especially at pool for ordering food & beverage. Could take hours to arrive. Chaos, clients were loud, rowdy, rude. Extremely overpriced!
Our 5-day stay was a nightmare. The hotel was packed with people not wearing masks. The hotel was understaffed. Service was terrible. Lunch took 2 hours. Breakfast was impossible with the extremely long lines. Water was unavailable...no place to purchase without ridiculous lines. There was food from room service left in the hallways for days. Phone calls to housekeeping for items went unanswered. Housekeeping was unavailable due to covid but the rooms were not stocked with necessary items for our stay. I have stayed in the past and enjoyed the hotel. After last week, I will NEVER go back!
I have stayed at The Fontainebleau a couple of times with my daughter and love this property. This past weekend had some challenges. Be aware on your President Day getaway WHEN Valentine’s Day falls on the calendar as it will complicate your stay. Even with Covid I think so many sun deprived guests opted to head to Florida. First the good. The staff really tried hard to make guests happy but were overwhelmed by upper management lack of planning. If you are still offering rooms at a high price you must realize that the higher capacity and less workers will cause a bottleneck of biblical proportions. The biggest gripe is the lack of a simple coffee maker in the room so you have to go to the bistro cafe for a simple cup of coffee. The wait was 55 minutes. A simple coffee kiosk or 2 would have made a big difference. This visit with no pool lounges available we settled for putting our towels down by the side of the pool. The pool as always was delightful and we made it work. Once again we had a delicious lunch at La Cote and they texted me when the table was ready. We tried dinner on Saturday at Hakkasan and I was appreciative of them getting us in on the day of our stay. We both thought the food was incredible. Amazingly fresh seafood which included the Dim Sum platter and the duck roll was awesome. Mom enjoyed her lemon drop martini. Great service. We will be back to this iconic hotel but will choose carefully to avoid the Valentine Massacre.
Very bad services, valet patking waiting time 55 min for pick up restaurants 1hour and have waiting time too costumers service poor terrible experience
The hotel was extremely over crowded. Couldn’t get a seat at the pools or beach. No clean towels. And it took over 3 hours to get food.
Five minutes into the trip we witness a domestic violence situation between guests, and this was an omen for the rest of the trip. Adult-only pools were riddled with children, hallways reeked of either sewage or weed, the hotel seemed ill-prepared to be at capacity. We were promised COVID safety kits when we checked in -those were not provided, while most staff seemed to be wearing masks - it was not enforced outside if signage everywhere. The room felt grimey and outdated (they ddin't even put a fitted sheet on the bed!!) I don't mind paying $$$$ for great service, but this was not.
