Desert Hot Springs Spa Hotel

The rooms and grounds looked surprisingly good for DHS. I hadn't stayed here in a few years and expected it to be more run down. My room was clean and the pools were the cleanest I've ever seen them. My bed was comfortable and I got a good night sleep as well- but that might depend upon who your neighbors are. This place can be a party spot at times and there can be noisy children at all hours as well. The cafe on site is always good but now closes earlier (8 pm).

The Check-in was fine, however the parking lot seemed to be full of equipment and very cramped which made it difficult to back up in. The room I stayed in seemed very old (cracked tile, dingy shower, toilet and sink). There was a big, disturbing argument around the pool area that lasted for quite a while with no one from the hotel coming to do anything about it. When I went to call the front desk I realized that I didn't even have a phone in my room.

SINK WAS NOT WORKING IN THE ROOM. NEITHER HOT WATER NOR COLD WATER HEATING WAS EXTREMELY LOUD UNCLEAN HORRIBLE WE WANT OUR MONEY BACK

I don’t know what I was expecting from this place but I didn’t get it. The ladies at the front desk were nice and efficient but everything else was a joke. $10 a day pool pass should let you know the kind of people it attracts and there were still street people trying to sneak in even at that price. Kids screaming everywhere and morbidly obese people in the pool=no thank you, especially during a pandemic. Zero masks worn in the pool area and most of the people working there didn’t wear them either. Hair all over the shower, AC vents needed cleaning badly, sliding door to patio was off the track and barely hanging on. And there were stains all over the curtains. Sink and shower was painted over which made no sense?? I usually can put up with a lot but I couldn’t get out of there soon enough. Just want to give a heads up to people going who don’t know what to expect. It is TRASHY!!

compared to past visits, it was terrible. dirty. not enough towels. the locks inside to the pool were not secured with keys, although the extra money for the first floor was taken. swimming pools in good condition. full coffee. everything.

The water was off when i woke so could not take shower brush teeth the pools were not very clean not good.

I have been staying at the hotel at least three to five times amonth. As they used to very clean and pleasant.but as time goes the hotel is getting to the point it's time to look for a new place to stay when I am in town as they don't have the restaurant open .they don't have coffee in the room anymore .they used to be really clean rooms and that is not even true now. And they don't have the use of the pools as they did..and at the price they get for the rooms .they should have the quality that the hotel is known for.iused to give this hotel a big 10 now I give it a 4 ..

I enjoyed it all around! Staff was attentive and friendly, stay was relaxing, highly recommended!
