Singles beware
Hotel is old and some rooms are very difficult to reach - up and down stairs. Single room was extremely small and at the far end of the hotel. Clean and great location but think twice if you are reserving a single room.

A spacious, comfortable stay.
We definitely enjoyed the location and the friendly, helpful staff. Lorenzo in the fourth floor bar was exceptional! We appreciated his graciousness, and he made a superb Manhattan.

Lovely hotel, great location
Fantastic 3 night stay in this hotel. Very warm welcome from the reception staff when we arrived and they continued to greet us in a very warm and friendly manner every time we passed. They were also really helpful with anything we needed, booking restaurants and taxis for us and helping us with train and bus timetables. They also looked after our luggage and lent us an umbrella when it was raining. The hotel is in a brilliant location and the rooftop terrace/bar is lovely. The room I stayed in was nice, very clean and with a great shower. WiFi was good too. I'll definitely recommend the hotel and if I return to Florence will stay here again.

Do not stay in room 452
The hotel looked really nice and has a great location, however we were incredibly disappointed with our room accommodations. We were placed in room 452. Recommendation - if you are being brought to room 452 or 459, know that you are being brought to a separate building. We had to go to the 4th floor via the elevator to then wind through the halls, through their courtyard rooftop (which is very pretty) to then down 3 flights of stairs to our room. I felt like we were in a basement or room quarters where servicemen would stay. While it was super quiet, it was incredibly inconvenient. I would recommend if you are told this is your room to ask for a different one immediately. Carrying luggage up and down 3 flights was not fun. Also you have to plan an extra 5-7 minutes to make your way from your room to the hotel entrance if you are planning on leaving (which you will want to since you are in a basement).
