We stayed for one night at this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel. Our room had stunning views of the town and the sea. The room was very clean and comfortable. The pool is large with many comfortable loungers. We would recommend this hotel for any stay in Sorrento.
A little way outside the town centre but the tradeoff is the hotel enjoys amazing views over the Bay of Naples and also the hotel has a large pool and plenty of space. Particularly noteworthy is the regular and efficient bus shuttle service. This is particularly important as taxis generally are very expensive..

The hotel has it all. An amazing pool, large rooms with huge balconies, walking distance to city central, very firendly staff and guided excursions with pick up and drop off at the hotel. 5 star hotel
The front desk staff definitely is not a fan of American travelers. The woman who checked us in was sweet but after that the staff tended to be condescending and flat out rude. I have worked in the hospitality industry for 10 years and could not believe how unwelcome I felt at a hotel I was paying for. To make matters worse I left my hat and they are trying to charge €40 standard shipping to send back, without proof that it is exactly how much it costs. Being that I had such a poor experience, they haven’t exactly built great rapport or trust with me, so I am unsure if I am being scammed! Plenty of air bnbs and beautiful hotels in town to stay at, definitely do not stay here!
Great location of the property. Although it was not directly in the busy main part of the town, it was easily accessible by the shuttle coach bus (yes, a coach, not a typo) that ran all the time, even to the late PM hours. I much prefer this as the hustle and bustle of beautiful Sorrento was easily available when you wanted it but not so when it was time to relax. We must have taken the coach 6 or 7 times and they were always on schedule. The views of the Gulf of Naples from our room was breathtaking. Room itself was nice and well-maintained but could use a little improvement on the AC as they are not used to American AC tastes. A tad humid but again, not keeping us from getting a relaxed sleep. We asked for some help with finding an outlet and they were up in like two seconds to help. Cleaning staff very friendly. Breakfast was a pleasant surprise in a spacious and elegant dining room. Love the self-serve cappuccino, pastries and fruits, although the eggs were very tasty, they were a bit runny for my taste. Pool was huge with chairs aplenty. Hotel desk clerks were very responsive and never experienced a line there more than one person deep. Their English was good enough. In terms of negatives, wish the place had a fitness center as they have ample room for it and a large amount of visitors to make good use of it. Did not like the Italian keyboard at the business center. Could not find the @ key, lol. Minor stuff as you can see. Highly recommended hotel! Have fun!
Very dated rooms. Clean but needs modernizing . Electrical capability todays environment with all gadgets needed to be increased.
Even though the hotel looks grand on the picture the cleanliness is very bad. Silverware were not cleaned well, it had food sticked, glass smells so I couldn’t drink. Bar service was very slobber. None of them are interested in their work, no enthusiasm, very slow & bad customer service. No work etiquette. They won’t use thank you , please or smile. Over staffed. Four people to clean one small table. Looks like the management is very bad.
We had a fantastic weeks stay at GHV - the location is superb with great views, good food and a relaxed environment around the pool. Only slight issue was with the shower which didn’t work very well but otherwise the room was excellent with lots of space and comfortable beds. The free shuttle bus is really useful for getting to and from the town centre and runs frequently throughout the day/evening.
