Shilo Inn Rose Garden - Oregon

The staff was very friendly and efficient. Due to COVID-19 there was no room service, but we could still get plastic silverware for our order in.

The room is very clean and excellent value. And the location is so close to the convention center, the Pearl District and downtown. Hotel staff are all attentive professional and friendly. I highly recommend and will stay here again for sure.

Horrible

The initial contact person was encountered via a phone confirmation and advisement that I would arrive after mid-night. The manager was rude and admonished I should make up my mind about when I would arrive. Upon arrival at 3:00 am, I was informed that on site parking was $ 8.00/day and $100.00 deposit was required. This information wasn't in my itinerary. When requesting a TV remote, toilet paper, and clean towels, I was required to pick up these items in the lobby, ALL THREE TIMES. The staff at the Shillo were polite and friendly with the EXCEPTION of the manager who answered my initial phone call.

It was a nice stay, but a lil crazy with the bums. Across the street, or the bum we seen checking all the windows on the bottom floor when we were out smoking

The place is filthy and disgusting. Stains on the sheets, towels (even fresh ones from the carts), carpet, walls, chairs. Staff does not wear masks or have sanitizer available for themselves or their patrons. Got a non-smoking room but the bathroom reeked or cigarettes; even putting the vent fan on all night only resulted in spreading the stink, rather than clearing any of it. $9/night for parking. Toiletries were half used. Cups were not wrapped. TV didn’t work.

One of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The bed was fie but I wouldn’t even sit on the sofa or was on the carpet without shoes... it was AWFUL. and we shoulda get our money back.

Felt uncomfortable to stay the night, not in a very good location. Homeless live right next to it and you can tell that this place gets broken into through the first floor windows

Well first off the charge is to park our car in there parking lot. Which was not in the ad. Secondly as soon as you open the door to the hotel there was an overwhelming smell of old cigarettes. Then we got the room, open the door and you were greeted with more nasty old cigarette smell. I didn’t feel safe walking to my car, the area outside the hotel felt unsafe. When we left and came back all you could smell was very strong POT! We will never be back at this location again!!
