Munich is so pretty. Loved all the activity. Felt safe. Lots of police around. European Cup was being played so there were excited fans everywhere. Easy to get around. Great food and drink. Perfect weather. Highly recommend taking a professional tour

We loved our stay! This is a gorgeous city with lots to do. We felt very safe here. I'd highly recommend doing a bicycle tour as you'll get around much easier - the English gardens for example are stunning but huge so cycling is the way to go.

Munich is a very friendly city. The excellent public transportation system means you can get around very easily with times and directions coordinated with Google maps. If touring a one week all metro Munich transport ticket is a good deal at €22.

Had an amazing time! Great cultural amenities, variety of excellent food options, beautiful scenery! Locals were friendly and helpful and kindly to my poor German language skills. I am a solo woman traveler in my seventies! Felt safe in Munich.

We love to visiting Munich. The public transportation is easy to navigate and use. Recommend booking a bike tour of the city with a visit to the English Garden. Our favorite beer garden to go to is The Augustiner, by the main train station.

We spent 3 weeks in Germany and found that Munich is by far the most vibrant and happening city in Germany. Young diverse and so many great parks and museums. Rent a bike and pedal around. Go to the BMW museum and the English Garden.

Dachau is a 30min train ride to the western suburbs of Munich. The concentration camp is a must to see. Once at the Dachau train station take local bus 726 to the camp. Warning the bus gets very crowded so you may wait 2-3 cycles.

I grew up in Munich (1970's) and hadn't been back since 1981. Very walkable city with impressive art and architecture. Absolutely love public transportation in Germany in comparison to the US.
"Stayed 4 nights at the Platzl in a dlx dbl room that had a nice sitting area near the windows, which came in handy.
Location is great, and staff are very pleasant and helpful too.
Room very nice, as is the hotel decor and lobby with a coffee shop too.
One interesting and uncommon thing is they give you the 1st mini-bar use as complimentary.
Location at Marienplatz and 200ft from the Hofbrau haus cannot be beat.
Would highly recommend!"
"We opted to stay in a larger room at this hotel since our trip was more than a couple nights and most of the rooms are smaller. We absolutely adored the room and the hotel itself. The details are so charming and the spaces (public and private) are very comfortable. Staff were usually readily available and were always helpful and pleasant.
Even if we had booked a smaller room, the common spaces at the hotel are lovely, welcoming, and comfortable. With plenty of seating indoors, games and books for adults and kids, and a charming beer garden, you can easily relax and enjoy time in the public spaces of this hotel.
Overall, we adored the Cocoon and would absolutely return!"
"The property provides an efficient apartmemt with all the basics. If you arebplanniing to use the pool with children, be aware that it is onlly available for children until 6 PM."
