We'd definitely stay here again

We were impressed. I wasn't really expecting a full-size fridge or a cooktop in our room! (It is pictured but the fridge kinda blends into the wall & you'd have to look pretty closely to see the cooktop.) We didn't need a full-size fridge (a typical small one would have been enough) or a cooktop but if you had to stay here for an extended amount of time, they'd come in handy. The price was fair. The weekend before we were in Kalispell & paid a little more for not as nice/roomy of a room. My daughter was disappointed that there wasn't a pool - which wasn't on our agenda this trip, so it was fine. The only thing that I had an issue with was the shower curtain. I think those need to be washed after every guest, like the bedding. There was gross hairs from the previous occupant(s) on the bottom portion as well as some other questionable "stuff". There wasn't shampoo or conditioner in our room either. I'm not sure if it was just forgotten or if they don't supply it. It wasn't an issue for us b/c I always bring my own, but FYI if you don't typically travel with your own toiletries. The room could have benefited from blackout curtains but we had to get up early, so it wasn't an issue for us this time. There was a noisy kid above us but it stayed in bed when we were. The halls & elevators were lit extremely well (almost too bright) but it was nice not walking down a dark hall like a lot of older hotels have. The a/c worked great. The temp/pressure of the shower was good.

New facility, very clean. Heard noises from upstairs neighbors all night. Vinyl floors may contribute to noise.

Ridiculously miserable experience

Came to check in at 2:40. There was one guy working at the entire thing and two housekeepers. He said, "I can't check you in." There wouldn't have been any other explanation until I started asking questions and he said there was a power outage and the whole system was down. Also, they were overbooked by thirty rooms at least, that "no reservation is guaranteed, it's first come first serve," and that even the rooms that are available wouldn't be cleaned yet because they are so understaffed. We couldn't leave the hotel and come back because every other hotel in town was full, and the whole overbooking thing meant we might be sleeping in the car, even though I made a reservation months ago. The power came on two and a half hours later, then it took another 45 minutes to an hour for "the system to reset", then the one guy started checking people in. I was charged $175, but the rate I reserved was for $130. He explained to me that "we don't even know what hotels.com charges you," and said that third party booking sites bid on rooms and that they don't even know what rate that is for, and I would have to take it up with the third party. I said that makes no sense, I didn't pay hotels.com at all, I paid the hotel, and between my husband and I, we've probably done that 70 times and never been charged a different rate. Frankly, I don't think I should be charged at all, since I had to sit in a hotel lobby for 4 hours with no power before I could check in.

Clean room, comfortable beds.

Nice clean basic rooms. A little noisy but to be expected

Police there for some reason upon check in. Front desk people borderline rude. Bed super uncomfortable and the whole place sketchy as can be.

Weird place

Very unusual. There is nobody at the desk in the morning or at night. All doors are locked so if you forget ypur room key, there is no getting back in. No soap, cups, or even a coffee cup in the rooms. I rented this because it had a kitchen however, it was worthless as there is nothing to cook with. No silverware, no pots or pans. My expectation was Staybridge and this place is NOT Staybridge. All of that could be overlooked if the front desk staff (when they are there) had more personality, but as it was a moldy towel does better. There were a lot of cops inside the hotel and out in the parking lot. Both days i was there. I would not stay again. I wouldnt stay again.

Mediocre

Unfortunately the water in the shower was scalding….no other setting. My room was right next to the side exit and was extremely loud at 6:00 am both days, some one banging something in the walls like a trash can or cart. All of the Washcloths I received were stained.

Terrible customer service and fraud

I called and spoke with the manager when we were driving over for our trip. I let him know that we would be in very late and asked if that would be a problem I was told several times no it would not be a problem. He told us just a call on the way if only got there and someone would check us in. I did exactly that and was told of her she couldn't find our reservation and then when she found it was informed that she wouldn't be able to check us in because we came in late. I explained that I had called earlier and talked to the manager and was told that it wouldn't be a problem numerous times. She then became rude and told me that she shouldn't even have let anybody in past 11 p.m.. Then she informed me if I wanted a room I would have to pay outside of my reservation and the fee that she was charging me was more than what my agreed-upon reservation price was. That is the definition of fraud to advertise a price online with a reservation and then charge me more for the same room once I arrive. I need this addressed or I will be calling my credit card company to dispute the charge. Then on top of all that there werent enough towels to shower.

This was a nice new hotel, but felt a little unsafe. Very strict rules about no smoking, but very strong smell of marijuana. Walls were paper thin, so could hear the people next to us and below us. Had a good rate, but not worth the savings.
