Travelodge Inn & Suites by Wyndham Yucca Valley/Joshua Tree

The man at the window was compliant. We got to both our rooms and one was so smelly from someone smoking pot. He change our room right away. The place needs a do over. Yes this place needs a lot of attention. From dirty carpet to holes in upholstery! There's mold in bathroom. The sheets smelled like straight up bleach but just gave me a headache. I didn't sleep well. Next door to my My daughters room was a couple making a lot of noise and slamming the doors like no one else was around. Anyone who has ever made comment that this place decent was really not telling the truth.

Clean, but a bit run-down. Bed's too soft, poor night's sleep.

The blonde woman working the front desk was so rude and unprofessional. I could not believe how she was speaking to me while checking me into my room, condescending and aggressive tone. I also witnessed her answer a phone call from a guest and yell at them as well. I ended up getting one of the outdated motel rooms that are disconnected from the rest of the updated rooms. This room was so unbelievably outdated I couldn’t believe it. It smelled like mildew in the bathroom and had a dingy smell throughout the whole room. The towels were so gross and the heater smelled terrible when I turned it on. As a young woman traveling alone, I am extremely aware of my surroundings. I felt very uneasy given the chain latch locks were clearly removed from both doors (there was a creepy back door that led to a dirt patio in the back) I was so upset I was led to believe I would be staying in one of the updated rooms. They need to close these old rooms for good or renovate them properly before allowing guests to stay in them.

carpet had several stains, 3 out of the 6 lights did not work, jacuzzi tub stained with red marks that would not scrub out even with a sponge and cleaner, tv remote barely worked, bathroom fan sounds broken and like its about to fall out of ceiling, service person was far from amicable, and for the first time EVER, the hotel called me 4 minutes passed check-out to rush us out of our room.

Water heater was off at night. Whether on purpose or an accident, having to wait until morning for a shower was unacceptable. I understand why they would not even consider extending check out time, it's a business and I get it. But ice-cold showers at night? Sorry, I deserved an apology AND an extra hour to check out.

Many amenities remained unavailable during our stay due to COVID considerations. This is a good hotel we have stayed here before. COVID made our stay more basic.

Stayed one night after visiting Joshua Tree NP. Paid more than we would have at competing hotels because of the higher star rating. But this is no 3 star hotel. Room was pretty basic. It was clean and comfortable but a little worn. Exterior was even more in need if a refresh. The Hotels.com listing said our rate included breakfast. But we were told at check-in that they weren't doing breakfast due to Covid-19. We understand that, but the hotel should update its listing.

Front desk rude & very fearful

Clean and convenient to Joshua Tree National Park Access . The only downside was noise from the highway.

I would not recommend this place to anyone. The shower was not working properly, the service was poor and the room looked old.
