Royal Square Hotel & Suites

The staff were wonderful and helpful. The breakfast was good. The cleanliness of the sheets and mattress was atrocious. Vile stains on the mattress which was not covered by the sheets as they were too small to fit over the entire bed. Totally unacceptable.

People moan about this hotel why I don't know everything was good stay hotel position etc and best of all cheap

Breakfast included was excellent. Room was nice, but loud street noise is an issue, and window lock was broken. Location is excellent. Front desk was not very helpful generally.

Location is the BEST ! The room was spacious and quiet after 11:00 p.m. The minus was that there was NO breakfast at first morning although it was included in our reservation.The receptionist said that it is impossible to call to the manager or owner and fix it because they do not not work on weekends . The Wi-Afi was not working for 3 days. The closet doors’ve been stuck.Then in 3 days a man from owner’s family came and fixed everything at once . The breakfast was good later on. Suggestion: Be aware that the bathroom floor is very slippery when it’s wet and protect yourself.Yandex taxi cost 2.1 E . Hotel taxi 10.0 E

The room was very large and offered lots of amenities and was very clean

The location in the Old Town could not be bettered: the historical sites, any number of restaurants, bars, shops, the theatres and cinemas, modern well-equipped (and reasonably priced) gym are all within a very few minutes’ walk. The hotel is easily accessible from the airport by service bus (service no. 22, €1.15), and a just few minutes on foot from the railway station. The hotel is modern and stylish. The staff helpful and organised. Breakfasts offer good choice. Curiously there was no phone in my room though there seemed to be a socket. Perhaps I should have asked about it.

The location was great and the staff are very helpful . The property however is run down and there is mould in the bathroom , the carpets have stains , the sheets were all crumpled . The shower area is pretty small . The table tops are all weathered and some of the decorative plants are dead with fully dried leaves if any . The lobby ceiling has a long lone of black duck tape . This property is overrated and I would not stay here again unless it’s fully spruced up . Also the lifts smell of cigarette smoke and the whole hotel including the room have a musty smell .

Hotellets personale er meget serviceminded og værelserne i top. Ligger lige i centrum og da det er turistområde, er der lidt støj, men ikke om natten.

Great hotel in a great location

Location was great, right in the center of old Town Riga. Lots of great restaurants nearby. Our room was disappointing needed some TLC, carpet dirty, bathroom was clean and modern. Staff at breakfast, not very friendly, but otherwise food ok. But overall had a wonderful stay in Riga.!
