Property is ok, rooms are very basic and the check in was a really hectic. Next day I upgraded to royal level. Room was little better but my sheets were dirty and I found hair in the bed. I took them almost 3 hours to change sheets and the house kippers give me the audited. Food was really limited and staff wasn’t very friendly except few managers.For sure I want be back.
Good stay for me and my family over spring break. I really liked the grounds and size of the resort. We left on the tale end of the virus outbreak as the guest numbers were dwindling throughout the week. As with many resorts in this region the rooms can be musty but we don't spend much time there. I assume that most resorts in the region will up their service in regard to buffet food service regarding cleanliness and likely result in better preparation of the overall food product especially buffet. Good value and beautiful place if you are like us and go to this area planning on eating out several times. Alberto's down the beach is a great nightime walk (flashlight is good to have but not mandatory) with excellent seafood and a fun place. We typically look for nice grounds with good activities that don't break the bank and allow us to spend outside the resort.
It was exceptionally beautiful walking around the property. The rooms were large. The specialty restaurant food was very good but the buffet food was ok. The red wine was terrible, the white wine was tolerable. Most mixed drinks were weak.
LIKED: Convenience, location, personnel (Milli, Jesus, Pablo - from entertainment, Lupita), beach, water, family friendly. DID NOT LIKE: food choices - especially at breakfast when some veggies and yogurts were MIA for 20-30 minutes, lack of beach beds at peak times, salesmen everywhere.
The beach and the property itself is very nice and well maintained. The staff is very polite. The room was clean and comfortable. That's about all the good things I can say about this place. Although the staff was friendly, there was not enough service. Service on the beach was almost nonexistent. The whole week I was there, we were offered drinks on the beach maybe 3 times at best, and when we did order drinks, it took a long time time to get them. I've had much better service at less expensive resorts. Pretty much, we had to wait in line at the pool bar to get drinks for the beach. The food was just mediocre. The speciality restaurants were pretty much booked upon check-in. We were only able to eat at 2 of them for the whole week, and they were just ok. The rest of the time we had to eat at the buffet where finger licking guests were serving themselves on used plates. A hygene nightmare. To make things sanitary, they really need the staff to serve the food, not the guests themselves, especially with viruses going around. Most all-inclusive resorts I have stayed at offer free room service. Not this place. They want to charge a fee for service to your room. All in all, its a beautiful place that I will never stay at again due to the lack of beach service, mediocre food, buffet hygiene questions, and difficulties booking dining times.
Would prefer 2nd or 3rd floor otherwise very nice. The garden and sitting areas are lovely . Pool is very family friendly
The landscaping is lovely. I really disagree with the use of plastic water bottles. The waste involved with all those water bottles is horrendous.
The food was good. The bar selection and bar tenders were sub standard at best.
The property was built into the mangroves which allowed for some unique vegetation and animals to be in the property.
The Beach is fantastic. Time share people left you alone. Stayed at the royal level which I would reccomend. Rooms are nice. Food is average
