Villa Royale Montsouris

The hotel was quite nice. The staff was friendly, the design/decor were interesting, and the room was clean. My only complaint is the cleanliness of the shower. The morning I left, I noticed mold in the grout between the shower tiles.

Affordable and friendly. Great shower. The front desk is 24x7 and I always felt safe. Quick uber/taxi ride to the sites, but also walkable (wear comfy shoes).

The place's decoration was nice. The room is decorated in an Andalusian (I think) style. The hotel has a guide - mobile phone with Internet that you can take everywhere for free. This really helps as a tourist since you don't have to purchase phone services or depend on the city's wi fi for everything. For the negative: Tub was unconfortable, with water falling out easily because of its small size and having no walls. The tub got clogged full of water and we could not figure out a way to drain the water. Was it broken?

Very accessible to public transports. Staff was very welcoming and also helpful.

The free shuttle icon should be removed from the site and the Expedia Agent i spoke with comfirmed to me there is Airport pick up and all hotel employee denied it....

We chose to stay here as it was near (walking distance) to our son who was studying abroad for a semester and living at Student housing - Cité Internationale Universitaire de Paris. We met him in the morning and travelled by subway to our destinations. It is not an area to stroll and discover Paris, but it worked well for us. One odd detail was that there were no shower curtains in the showers in both our room and our adult children's room. It took some figuring out, with the water flow, to not have the water leave the shower. It was also a high step into the shower/tub

Upon arrival we were greeted and immediately felt welcome here. The front counter spoke English and was super helpful. She gave us a map and pointed out all the main attraction, including transportation options and metro lines to take. The room was small, but clean and had a nice window view. I had one issues with my room, as it did not open with my key, I brought it up to staff and they gave me a different room right away. It is close to the metro station that takes/brings you from the CDG airport. The area was nice and quite, it is down the street from one of Paris's college so the area was full of students. Also I felt safe in the hotel and walking to the hotel at night, which we did pass midnight. It not to far from the main attractions such as the Eiffel tower. I would stay here again for my next trip.

There is really nothing to like about this place. No one was at the front desk when I came to check in. I had to call the phone number before someone came running to the phone. Same thing when I was returning after my room wasn’t ready the first time. On top, although I paid in full for my trip through Expedia I was told when checking out that I never paid ad they needed to charge my card. Rushing for my flight I decided it wasn’t worth the fight with this receptionist so I gave my card. Now seeing double charges on my card for my one night stay. The room was very small and dirty. Doors don’t close easily. Actually had someone walk in on my while I was in my room. I would never stay or recommmed this place to anyone. Luckily I booked with Expedia and had them reach out to the hotel. They said I’d get a refund. Weeks later realizing I didn’t hear back I called Expedia and they said the hotel never got back to them about the refund. They’re trying to work it out now. Nightmare.

Nice hotel in a safe area with good transport links and nearby eating options. Comfy bed, nice bathroom, good value for money. Desk and minibar in room, free WiFi.

Loved the decor , and staff were very pleasant and helpful. The beds were very comfortable and rooms were clean and quiet enough. The staff graciously moved us to a slightly larger room after our first night. In the second room , there were some tiles missing in the shower and it was a little difficult to manage without getting water all over the floor. I also didn’t love the breakfast, which seemed minimal. However, the lovely staff, comfy beds, adorable rooms and great location made this a very good place to stay.
