Very clean room and comfy beds. Is a little dated building. Good shower. Good stock of toiletries. Nice food in restaurants.
Love the location and jetty was upset with false advertising with a spa in each room and found out only the villas have a spa list is endless off faulty service sand and wood restaurant has a one good chef and if he is no on its terrible food same with the bar booked here hoping to relax .. ended up getting out asap we hated the place and service when checking out i was charged for 400 in extras that we had to get removed and was just mistakes such as double booking of ferry to Harvey bay double booking for dinner (same date )
My partner Paul & I had an absolutely amazing time. From the time we boarded the ferry to when we sadly disembarked everyone was fantastic. Staff could not do enough for us....we travel alot all over Australia & the service at Kingfisher is the best we have experienced in a long time. We loved the relaxed, casual feel, but also enjoyed the luxuries that the resort offers. Paul & I are getting married next year & were lucky enough while on the island to talk to Jo & she organised Nikki to take us around to show options for our big day. thank you to both of them. They were great & we look forward to hearing from Bianca soon to hopefully lock something in. thank you, Katreen

Food and facilities were exceptional. Staff were friendly, but were lazy and poorly trained. The group I was with were constantly wrongly charged, took us for ever to get service and when we did it would take 20 minutes for a drink to be bought out.
Room smelt mouldy. Average rooms. Breakfast was quite pricey and reservations email regarding requests was never responded to although I emailed several times. We were also charged a ferry fee by mistake and had to have it corrected. Good location, ok amenities but could do with a renovation.
Food quality was disappointing and very expensive. Options for dining are limited. Convenience store is ridiculously expensive.
Although some parts of the resort had been refurbished, a very budget refurb had been completed. The room was tidy and presentable. Some staff were great, others somewhat slow. It would be nice to have one swimming pool dedicated to being child free as staying during school holidays was very noisy and not relaxing to swim. Meals were ok. Seabelle serving up the best quality food - the other restaurants were disappointingly pub style at best. The sunset bar was a highlight although service was very slow. Some daily updated information regarding driving tracks would have been very helpful.
The resort is in touch with nature and the surroundings.
Room was pre-booked from the day before. When we checked in we were told our room wasn't ready. Which was quite disappointing seeing it should've been ready which is the reason why rooms are prebooked. Went to dinner one night after 1 and 1/2 hours our meal still hadn't arrived. Service all round is of very low standard
