Heritage House Resort & Spa

Heritage House was nothing short of spectacular. We stayed in a room with an incredible ocean view and a fabulous soaking tub. Everything was really comfortable, the room was perfect for the setting, the staff and reception were lovely and responded to everything we needed. The grounds are indescribably beautiful with views of the Mendocino coastline that are breathtaking. Getting the right room with an ocean view will probably help make your experience as wonderful as it can be. Thank you to this dreamy place. We will be back!

Amazing place, breathtaking views and we truly enjoyed our time in the resort. The ocean view room was totally worth it. The room is 100 meters away from the ocean and is located on a cliff and you can see the ocean below the cliff. We definitely recommend this place.

We had a great visit the the Heritage House Resort. It was a quick 2 night getaway, and it was very relaxing. The front desk people were very friendly and helpful. The room was as represented. They stated that their food service wasn't operational due to Covid, and that's just fine. The weather, the view, and the ambiance was fantastic. Highly recommended!

Very very nice. Great comfortable room and spectacular ocean view with crashing waves below. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Our room wasn’t ready until 5:45pm...an hour and forty-five minutes after check-in. We had dinner reservations at 6, which they made us late for. No sincere apologies or ideas how to rectify the situation. Just “yea, we are running a little behind today. Sorry about that.” She then asked me to “step to the side” so she could help the customers behind me...all of which she game rooms to. When we were able to check in, the room wasn’t very clean, smelled like gas, and had dirty linens still under the bed. This was not the first time we have stayed here, but most definitely be the last!

With Covid there were no meals but at least the rooms are well equipped to cook meals and the hotel got dishes and utinsels for us. Such a beautiful place!

The view is incredible, staff is hard to get ahold of and you have to request your room to be cleaned daily. Every morning we had to waste time tracking someone down to ask to have our room cleaned. 2 out of the 4 nights our request never happened

I don’t know how to write this review. It’s like the other reviews that said the room is dated but the view is stunning. The upside of our room are the size of the room, private deck, face the ocean, heated floor in the bathroom and huge bathtub right next to the huge window. The downside are the bed is not comfy, old pillows, toilet & phone in the room are not working, floor is dirty, cold shower sometime and the windows are dirty. So far I’m happy with waking up to the beautiful ocean view and enjoy walking along the ocean in the resort. If they can fix all these problems, it would be one of the best place to stay in Mendocino.

Beautiful resort right on the ocean! The room was comfortable, and the ocean views are spectaculor! The staff was great, and actively practiced COVID precautions. We will be returning!
