Grand Plaza Beachfront Resort Hotel

The location and Beach were very nice the rooms no so nice they need help. the room was flooded for the air-conditioner. the main lobby was old and needs help.

The hotel was dated, but it’s supposed to be undergoing a renovation soon. Staff was fantastic!

This was our first vacation since covid, so I was nervous about traveling again. The hotel staff was not welcoming. The lobby area was not welcoming. The breakfast was lousy, not fresh at all - tasted like it was reheated. There are no seating areas, etc. The pool area was tiny and no beach chairs. The rooms were dirty, in fact there was a dirty moldy coffee filter in the coffee machine. The public area did not have the coffee pot going and the vending machine was empty. I will not stay here again.

Was very happy with service and restaurants. The main kicker was I have never did a suite so was excited to do this once for my family. Cost of 500 a night. Was so disappointed. The view was amazing. Suite was for 6 people. Only got 1 car spot and one free cabana for only 2 people. Car rate 20 per day. Cabana 40 a day. Now the room oh my gosh. Was appalled they called it a suite. It was so run down and nasty. Everything needed redoing. From the walls to the bathroom.. it was definitely not a what I would call a suite. . Have stayed at many hotels and had much nicer and newer rooms for 100 a nite.. Stayed in hotels in many states through the years and this was the worst. The walls had stains on them.. Tissue box in bathroom all rusted.Door locks all rusted. Lamp shades dirty. Wood in bathroom and caulking bad. Kitchen was just a room with a mini fridge and sink..outdated also.. When I think of suite I think of luxury, not so in this case,. None of the vending machines worked and was a whole room full downstairs. Put your 2 bucks in push selection no items sent.. Cost 1.75 after push button and nothing received says credit ,75 cents. Needless to say did not feel pampered at all.. So sad I wasted a grand on 2 nights.

To start, parking is awful due to the weddings and events held at the hotel as well as non guests parking there for beach access. Our first room was disgusting. Our fridge did not work and there was urine all in front of the toilet as well as behind it. We stayed in the dirty room over night because the front staff told us they were booked and could not move us. After speaking with the front desk the next morning we were told they could change rooms for us but we would be charged. We agreed upon paying $30/ night extra but we were charged $60/night instead. Breakfast was mediocre and the service was poor and slow. The pool’s filter needed to be cleaned. We took the kids for an evening swim and made them get out after we watched the filter start spitting out loads of muck from the bottom of the pool. The second room we had was much nicer and clean but no matter how cold we tried to make the room it stayed hot. We could see the AC on the roof had a sprinkler running on it so we knew something wasn’t right. Spinners restaurant was good. The staff was friendly and the food was good. The morning we checked out we were very upset with how rude the manager was to us when my husband tried to figure out the charges for the room. They had over charged us for switching rooms, when I feel they should have done it for free due to the condition of the room. We agreed to pay the up charge but we were charged double what we agreed upon. Overall I would never stay or recommend.

Hotel was a little run down but clean. Seemed a little over priced for the quality, but the staff was courteous.

After reading a few reviews about needing updating I was hesitant to book but so glad I did. Absolutely CLEAN, staff goes above and beyond. Beach chair & umbrella included is a huge plus. It is not that outdated but cleanliness and service are my 2 main reasons to book and we will definitely stay again.

Really dated hotel... food was great and the beach n sunsets are fabulous
