Enjoyable stay in trying times and all the staff helped make it a stress less stay.

The room was tiny and the water tanks kept making noise all night especially when other hotel guests flashed their toilets

The Room had cob webs on bed side lamp shades.

Comfortable room, safe environment, good food

Restaurant staff did not applied £10 discount for food in gobernment scheme although recepttiom told that they do participate in the scheme. Which means that restaurant may be stealing £10 fromevery luncher and diner for more than a month. Shame or may be its just unprofessionalism of Restaurant manager...who knows. I guess restautant owneers ahould investigate it! otherwise beautiful hotel im excelelnt condition worth taking a rural retreat inside M25 with pick your own fruit and veg farm nearby. Ideal for family weekend out when food discount does not apply...

Fantastic staff!! Asked for sheet and two blankets which were put into my room. Appreciated the fan which had a very long lead and kept me cool overnight. Bottled water in the room which would have been replenished had I needed it. Had two breakfasts and two meals. Sea bass was beautifully cooked and well presented. Fillet steak was fabulous. Desserts were very tasty, well presented and not too large. One niggle - in a 4 * hotel I would expect the salt and pepper to be removed before the dessert is served. Would have loved to have heard the pianist.

In the unusual circumstances of CV19, the staff are doing well in general. I was only disappointed by the steak I ordered from the bar menu (restaurant not fully open yet).

Nice setting with e tensive well kept gardens. Terrace bar area outside is nice place for a couple drinks

We arranged a 1 night stay at this hotel purely because of it's proximity to our Son who has a 1 bed flat. It may be because the hotel had only just opened post covid and was getting used to the new regime but there were a few disappointing issues which could have been easily resolved with better communication. We were given no information about how breakfast would operate or indeed where from and had to ask for detail. We were told it was a continental breakfast served to our room - I mentioned that we don't eat meat, we were just asked to choose a time for delivery. The breakfast was delivered with a bacon sandwich 20 minutes late by a rather rude member of staff that didn't apologise, just said " she was doing breakfast herself" as if that was an apology. No information in the room about how it had been made Covid safe, just a 1 way system through the hotel which was pointed out. Toiletries and TV remote in polythene bag but no explanation as to why - we had to work this out for ourselves. Lovely surroundings, beautiful building ( bar was closed due to Covid so no real atmosphere) but generally the staff although friendly looked a bit startled by visitors under the new regime and didn't look as if they'd "walked through" the processes and asked themselves the right questions in preparation. Overall though, the hotel is lovely, was in a good location for us, is nice and quiet and beautiful grounds - it's a strange new world for all of us, but l think they could try harder
