ood place but room for improvement
What can I say about this place For the most part they were accommodating ( we asked for a late check out which they approved, but the room we paid for was not the room we received and that took some time to fix) The only good food was by the pool The restaurant cuisine was pretty inedible. Other then that the one thing I was really looking forward to was the gym ( since the gyms have been closed for nearly a year at home)and the machines were old and outdated, making the work out uncomfortable.

The online pics are great but once you’re there you see all the flaws. The room alone was what caused us to leave after one night. Horrible bed & the toilet seat kept getting stuck in the toilet. The sink wouldn’t drain. The service at the poolside dining spots was difficult since our server didn’t speak great English. Food was mediocre. No guacamole or sour cream for quesadillas & just bad service overall. The “best” restaurant was always packed. Not easy to see the ocean from most of the pools.

Service was fantastic. Every single employee attempted to do their best to make our stay a good one. I wish I could give their staff 10 stars. The hotel has a spa and golf course. The golf course is beautiful with well taken care of fairways and well-stocked comfort stations. Unfortunately, the spa never responded to our inquiry. We even went in person to get an appointment but they sent us an email and asked that we contact them that way. We did and never got a response. We loved the beach and the umbrellas by the beach with waiter service. The beach is private and allows for plenty of space between other guests. We tried the inclusive restaurants and also the Argentinian one that has extra fees. All the food was delicious and the steaks we had at the Argentinian place were huge and equally delicious. The hotel does require some TLC here and there but overall very clean.

Hands down, best resort we’ve ever stayed in. The food, the amenities, the service, ALL TOP NOTCH. We didn’t want for anything. Don’t believe any of the negative reviews, I PROMISE you will have an AMAZING time!!!!

Our new favorite hotel!
Our stay at the Grand Fiesta Americana was amazing! We’ve only stayed in a couple of all-inclusive hotels in the past and we weren’t impressed. The food was always below standard and the drink selection was either very limited or watered down. However, this isn’t the case at the Americana. There are several restaurants in the hotel, each serving a different international cuisine. The Mexican restaurant was our favorite. They served authentic upscale, nouvelle cuisine from various regions of Mexico and seafood that had been caught just hours earlier. Room service and any beverage you could possibly think of, lis available 24 hours a day. The hotel staff went above and beyond to keep the hotel clean and guests safe from Covid. Beds are comfortable and housekeeping provides service each day. Best of all, the entire staff has outstanding customer service and all make sure your stay is superb. I can’t say enough about this hotel and we are planning another trip there next month!
