ACME Hotel Company Chicago

The location is amazing. Right downtown and walking distance of all the sites downtown. The modern idea is interesting, new ideas and decor are a good thing, but sometimes the traditional things from a customer service point of view should be taken into account. The hotel doesn’t offer breakfast and although offers a morning coffee delivery service this has to be ordered the night before. (We didn’t know when checking in when we’d get up, so didn’t know if we wanted coffee or not) The hotel prides itself on its ‘hipster’ image, not really something we fully subscribe to but it was still a nice stay. Downsides would be traffic outside is noisy pretty much all night. Nothing the hotel can do about it so not their fault but bear in mind when booking. The aforementioned ‘hipster’ image may have also contributed to the, shall we say, recreational smell that was evident on our floor. We honestly don’t care what others get up to, but the smell was off putting unfortunately. The rooms however are styled beautifully and clean as a whistle. All staff we dealt with were fantastic. For the price they offer you are getting a fantastic deal despite some downsides.

Clean room, spacious (we had the 2 Queens room), friendly staff and great bar right downstairs. Best of all is the location: close to many great restaurants, bars, shopping, and the train. Very quick to get to the loop as well.

Room was a bit small but very clean, loved the atmosphere, and staff was friendly. Would definitely recommend!

Best nights sleep for a long time

Great hotel, with good location and fun hotel bar. Easy to get to, and easier to get to other places from there. Great and friendly staff. Air in room was a bit dry and not a lot of sunlight made its way down to our room.
