Courtyard by Marriott Richmond Chester

Nice hotel. Staff pleasant and accommodating. Traffic noise can be a bit distracting at first but then you don’t hear it.

I believe the night mangers name was Ashely, and she was attentive, courteous, and kind. She welcomed me and my daughter with a smile.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. I wouldn’t have any complaints except unfortunately, I didn’t get much sleep because the sports bar located across the street played its music so loudly until about 1 a.m., I could even make out the songs that were being played. It felt like a concert. If you’re going to stay here, maybe call and request a room on the back side of the hotel unless you’re into hearing obnoxious bar music all night.

Very average for a Courtyard. Common areas could use some updating. Room was fine.

The room needed some maintenance and the balcony was dirty.

I was exhausted from driving all day. It was a quick check in. The employee was so kind and efficient and got me to my room quickly. The shower was powerful and the water was hot the bed was comfortable and the TV was large. The option of having Netflix or Hulu made it a great stay.

The stay was ok. The room always felt moist and uncomfortable. The room besides me was smoking, the staff gave me another room so that was nice of them.

The rooms were updated and clean. Checkin and out was fairly easy as well. However, the beds were terrible. When you laid in the mattress it sunk in all the way to the box spring. It was like sleeping on a board. None of us slept well and woke up extremely sore. The pullout sofa bed was horrible too. The rail went straight into your back and it could maybe fit a small child. The air quality in the rooms was also deplorable. Our entire softball team stayed there and every single person woke up coughing and with sore throats. If you held a light to the air conditioning unit you could see dust and mold particles just pouring out of it. One parent actually had to go sleep in his truck it was so bad. While the rooms appeared to be clean and updated and the hotel as a whole was also clean, they really need to address the air issue as well as replace the mattresses. Based on that alone I don’t think we will be staying there again.

Spent a night while driving from FL to VT and it was fine. We were looking for clean and convenient. Front desk staff was nice (especially for 11 pm)!

We had a room with a bad view. We could basically see the trash area behind the building.
