Super 8 by Wyndham Buena Vista

The room was clean and good enough for the price.

Could not check in, finally located attendant who seemed incoherent who finally got is in a room.

Checked in and the front desk guy said wait, went in the other room. Came back with no mask. 1st room had some ladies lipstick on the bed and looked like someone had just left sitting on it. 2nd room had hair all over the sheets when I pulled the blanket back. 3rd room had burn holes in one bed so I sucked it up and slept in the other bed. Stains in the cover blankets. I got on the road at 3:30, called to check out and no one answered. Went by the front desk and no one was there so I left.

The front desk gentleman wasn't very helpful maybe because he didn't understand english very well. Room was just okay but happy to have a place to stay last minute. Phone in room was not even connected to be able to reach front desk. No one was around after waiting for a bit when checking out so I just had to leave keys on front desk and saw a few different keys sitting there as well.

staff and room was great and clean. only problem was the we was in room 212, and the people on 211 had a dog yapping all night lone because of a couple out side and in the hall way screaming at each other about who's fault it was slamming doors. I almost got dressed and went out to confront them that I was going to call the police but didn't want to cause the hotel problems.

The room was musty and moldy smelling. Have had a headache since I stayed there. The carpet, bedspread and furniture were filthy. Would not walk barefoot in carpet. Pulled bead spread off the bed. The mattresses were very uncomfortable woke up with whole body hurting. Worst 140 dollars I ever spent.

Big issue was the shower drain didn’t work at all and water accumulated to our ankles. The service was great, they attended the issue right away but it wasn’t fixed. We didn’t get another room either.

Gentlemen who works there was truly a awesome guy!! Friendly and welcoming and professional. Place was clean and nice atmosphere

I stayed here for 5 days in Oct 2020. Buena Vista does not have many places to stay, so this was a decent choice. Salida is about 30 minutes away with more choices, but I wanted to be closer to the trails in this area. Pros: Clean room. I still brought Clorox wipes and cleaned all surfaces. Plenty of hot water. Very large room. Lots of space to move around without bumping into furniture. Mostly quiet (some road noise, but that doesn’t bother me). You could clearly hear other guests in the hall, but never heard any noise from other rooms. Reasonable price for the area Curtains had Velcro strips to keep them closed. Nice feature! Cons: Bed had huge crater on left side. I couldn’t sleep in that pit. Right side was ok. AC/heat blew directly in my face on right side of bed. I didn’t need to use it because room temp was ok this time of year. Would have been a huge problem in summer or winter. Bathtub creaked loudly with just the slightest weight shift. One note about COVID-19 policies for all hotels: If you are not going to provide daily room service, you should stock the room with enough supplies to reasonably last through the length of stay. I shouldn’t have to go to the front desk to ask for more coffee or soap. Kind of defeats the point of social distancing.

When we entered our designated rooms, they hadn't been cleaned yet from the previous guests who stayed the night before. So we requested another room and it hadn't been cleaned either.
