Super 8 by Wyndham Bowling Green South

The motel it's self wasn't bad. Clean room, relatively comfortable bed. What I have a problem with is that when we checked in and the room was paid for in advance on a credit card the night desk clerk charged us a $50 security deposit on the credit card on check in. As, in addition to the paid for room rate. I asked why he was doing this, normally any motel we've stayed at takes you credit card number as the security deposit. They don't actually charge $50 on the card for the deposit. They refund it on checkout, but that takes days before its ever refunded on you card. Why are they actually charging it to the card when you check in??? I asked the manager/owner about why they actually place a charge on the credit card when we checked out in the morning and he said they only do that on rooms paid for with a debit card. I said we paid in advance with a credit card and I understand having the card on file for security deposit reasons, but charging it and hoping they actually do the refund isn't acceptable. He acted like the night clerk made an error in doing it, but the look on the actual desk clerks face made me think he was feeding us a line to pacify us and that it was normal practice for them. I told him we already have reservation for his place in September and I had gotten a group from our area to make reservations there too. I'm wondering if we should change motels after that experience.

Eh, guy working at the desk was mask less and in my book today that’s one star service. Room was clean but in disrepair.

There was no pool. Breakfast was small and to go. Rooms were very nice, bathroom was excellent

$50 hold on my cc was unexpected supposedly for room damage. The clerk states that this is true for all Bowling Green motels. There was nothing obvious in the booking process stating this. Sign of the times I guess, don't trust anyone. We won't be stopping in Bowling Green again on our way to Wisconsin anymore.

Hotel is really good. It’s clean and comfortable. Staff is excellent. Also, breakfast is good too. Location is the best.

Very clean and comfortable

Our stay was overall pleasant. Staff was friendly. I cleaned the bathroom so we could shower. Room itself was clean, mini fridge needed to be cleaned. Semi quiet location.

I will alawys go to Super 8. There staff is friendly and the rooms are clean.. The hotel always tells me if you need anything let them know how they can help. Never had any trouble with Hotel 8

My room is dirty. The bathroom was disgusting like it was not even cleaned and the same with the bedding. Very displeased with my stay.
