Comfortable service, clean room and wonderful scenery. Nothing to complain.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The view was spectacular. Food was excellent. The rooms werw mot made up everyday because housekeeping couldn't enter due to COVID-19, which was understandable. The thing to remember is that y iui y have to make reservations at any restaurant, on or off the grounds. Next time we're in the area, we would certainly go back.

Don't like the extra Resort Fee. Breakfast was very good.

This resort was absolutely beautiful. Check in was fast and friendly as we completed the health survey requirements in advance. The room was spotless, the linens crisp and fresh. Some amenities have been removed such as robes, hairdryer etc. but are available upon request and my hairdryer was waiting at my door by the time I got to the room. The bed was plush and comfortable the carpet and tile perfectly clean. We had a 3rd floor room in front of the lodge overlooking the front patio and the diners below us were not at all disturbing if fact the twinkling candles on the tables at night added to the charm. The goats milk soaps and lotions are top quality and are available in the gift shop. Food at the lodge and Bierhall is good the dining experience at the lodge is more leisurely than at the Bierhall. We loved the homemade bread at the Kaffehouse and the sandwiches and pastries are delicious and fresh made daily. We took advantage of the Lodge tour activities and did the Scottish Cows, Sugarbush hike and the Von Trapp family History Tour. The cost of these is covered in your resort fee. The tours are top quality with knowledgeable local experts that LOVE their jobs! That made the magic for me! Cannot wait to return!

Wonderful for families!

First the property was beautiful but we had 2 bad experiences and we believe that it was an expedia reservation issue. The hotel for some reason did not get the confirmation payment notification from Expedia for our advance registration and so they charged us a second time for the visit which caused us a cash flow issue while on our trip and it took a few days to get it straightened out. Second it also took us personal time with our bank and the hotel to get the issue straightened out.

Beautiful property and unbeatable views. We received a guide to local hikes and swimming holes when we checked in and took one of the hikes at Smugglers’ Notch which was fantastic. We were disappointed that there was no coffee available before 7am anywhere on or off property for those getting out early for hiking, etc. We had dinner on property at the Bierhall (outside seating) and after sunset we had to finish our meal in complete darkness. There were no candles and no additional lighting besides some string lights on part of the fence which was nowhere near us. We had to shine the light of our phones to see our food - my drink spilled and the kids wouldn’t finish their meals because they were convinced there were bugs in it since they couldn’t see. Disappointing end to what started out as a great meal. For the price, I think there could be more attention to detail.

The room felt damp and musty...outdated. The rug felt damp and sheets look discolored. The history tour and maple sugar tour do not run everyday...no tours were available the night we stayed. The view was amazing, breakfast was delicious and staff was friendly.

Come here almost every winter for a few days stay. Love the ambiance and love Stowe. The lodge is cozy, homey and comfortable.
