Hampton Inn & Suites Petoskey

Nice place to stay. Must have been short on help, at check in we waited for 7 minutes before an employee arrived at the front desk. The tv was small for being a newer hotel.

Property and room was very clean, and the view from the balcony was amazing! The only thing is that there was no microwave in our room and we had to go to the lobby to heat up food.

The coffee in the morning was good. The staff was not friendly, only spoke to us on departure, never greeted us. Apparently we had a gift bag to make our weekend special that my sister in law dropped off with instructions to give to us at check in. Front staff did not give to us at check in. My sister in law called twice that evening, front staff finally at 11pm tried to contact my wife's cell phone, unfortunately we had already went to bed. In the morning I went to front desk, the staff new had it right behind the counter, excuse was that it was busy at check in, did not seem concerned at all, might not have been a big deal to staff but it was to us. The staff also said phone system is old, that is why no light was on the phone in our room, to indicate had a message. The room was older, was clean, however the couch was worn and appeared to be discolored. The shower was uncomfortable, placed a grab bar in exact spot where you would stand. Will not stay here again. Suggest Appletree Inn, which we had stayed at before, but was booked for this last weekend or the Days Inn which we had stayed at before, but was also booked for this last weekend. Both have the same views, but staff is much better and rooms appear to have been updated. Overall poor experience at this hotel.

Our room was not ready when we got there after 5pm. We were told we had to wait an hour. Room was clean but hadn't been updated in a while.

The front desk clerk was super friendly and helpful on checkin. She gave us a great recommendation for a place to eat and told us where we could go in the morning to look for Peoskey stones. I found a really nice one!

Not exactly what is was expecting based on such a high reviews. Carpet in the stairway was stained. Room rather small. Continental breakfast in bag included bottled water, fruit and 2 small snacks.

Poor choice for place to stay! No room cleaning or fresh linens provided until requested!!

Very friendly and efficient. Asked if we had any questions about the hotel and area.
