RumFish Beach Resort by TradeWinds

We booked at rumfish but when we got there it was deserted. The security guard told us it was closed that we needed to go down the road to tradewinds. Very disappointed that we were misled.

Run fisher was actually closed so we were moved to the Island Grand which we actually usually visit and love. I traveled with my son who is in a wheelchair and were upgraded to a suite with more square footage to make it easier to maneuver his wheelchair. The manager who upgraded us did so without any prompting, simply out of pure understanding of guests needs (we would have managed in the room we booked, but more space def. makes life easier).I have stayed at Tradewinds with my son for years for this very reason. They also have beach wheelchairs for guests to use free of charge.

We were moved to the tradewinds because they closed rumfish due to capacity. I did not like this place. Our room had a weird smell pumping in when air was on. We were told they were at 25% capacity and it was packed. Pillows were hard and flat. Front desk girl acted like she was doing us a favor at check in. The pools were on the smaller side. I would not stay again or recommend.

We booked at the Rumfish hoping for a quieter stay. It is actually closed. We stayed at the Tradewinds Islandgrand. I was disappointed because it was not the trip I had in mind. Very busy property. Packed with families. Impossible to social distance. Great amenities. Our room was centrally located. Floors were dirty with sand when we arrived, but it was spacious. Check in process was easy. They have social distancing procedures in place for that and allow one person to do that while the other waits in the car. Staff was friendly. Parking can be impossible late at night. Returning from dinner we almost had no where to park. Beach cabanas are first come first serve and the most awesome part.

Everyone was super friendly. I received a room upgrade and had a beautiful view of the beach right over the main pool.

Hotel is a bit outdated. Room definitely needed a little bit of work to freshen it up.

Great stay. All staff was very friendly. Cant wait to return.

There is no daily housekeeping so the room gets covered with sand quickly, the restaurants all close at 10 so there’s no where to eat late night, without a hop skip and a jump which is hard to do with sleeping children.

I loved the atmosphere of the hotel. How very into earth and mother nature. The quotes throughout the resort. The staff was always bery friendly. Very delicious food. I did not like how i pay a resort fee for a cabana yet I still have to pay an additional $15 each day for a front row cabana.
