American Inn and Suites

Staff was great it was affordable, clean and had a nice pool/ hot tub

We had a nice stay, under the challenges of Covid 19. The pool was wonderful, but the jets weren't working on the hot tub, which was a disappointment. The hot tub was the reason we selected American Inn and Suites. I had asked for an accessible room, but didn't get one. We brought our pet, so we were placed in the "pet" section of the hotel. But there weren't even security bars around the tub to help me get into the shower. Not good. We will likely stay here again, but next time I will be much more forceful about an accessible room!!

Rooms were clean. But the bed couldve been a little softer. Staff was nice. Place is very pet friendly. The WiFi wasnt as good as it needed to be and the TV was kinda old. But overall the stay was ok and Id consider coming back again.

This place was very smelly and dirty. Triggered lots of allergies. We left after a few hours. They haven’t refunded our money. Kid at the desk claimed we needed to wait until Monday because he didn’t have authority.

One way in one way out. No elevator. No late check out. Felt a little -looked at-. I like to ask questions with responses like “no I’m sorry m, the reason why we can offer a late check out is -blah blah blah-“ instead of “nah.. no” after I have to wait for you to finally speak to me while your chitchatting it up for a local. Also, the bathroom in the pool area is scary as you feel like you won’t be able to get out of it.. and no one can help you from the outside. But, beds are comfy. Hotel was decently clean. Most of the staff spoke and were friendly.

The hotel was very nice when you walked in, beautiful stone and fireplace. The pool area is also welcoming. The room, however, was not. The bathroom had areas of rust throughout, missing and stained tiles in the bathroom. Dirt/food splattered on the bathroom walls. The bathroom ceiling had missing pieces, or not properly fitting pieces. Under the pull out couch was gross.. dust, hair and some glue type of stain on the carpet. The mattress was ripped in several places. The door to the bathroom didn’t lock which was an issue with kids, one including a toddler that kept opening the door on everyone. This became a privacy/safety issue. It wasn’t fun taking turns guarding the door when someone was in there. I asked to have this fixed or have a room switch but they said maintenance had already left and they would let him know first thing in the morning, she said that was the only thing she could do. They never came to fix it. The location was great.

Faucet was broken. Alerted staff at 4pm. Was not addressed. Dirty floor, including a penny. Neighbor room had loud music until 3am.

The location is the best part. It is pet friendly. Otherwise, nothing special.
