Quiet and clean during covid19. But the internet situation sucked. It wouldn’t hold a signal for more than a few minutes. If you need to work from your room, try a different hotel.
The Red Lion was clean and quiet. The first desk clerk - male, who helped us was cheerful and efficient and very good about wearing his mask. The second desk clerk, a woman, wore her mask on her chin. There were 2 thousand new cases of Covid in Oregon yesterday. The hospitals are approaching capacity. What will it take for people to start taking this seriously and WEAR THE DAMN MASK?
I was on a museum visiting trip, and my room was comfortable and quiet. The laundry room was clean and supplies were provided.
Great family suite. Very roomy. Comfortable beds. Nice size area. Clean.
Front desk service was friendly, professional, and responsive. The room was more what I would expect from a motel 6. You could see light through the crack in the door. We were on the end (pet friendly) of the hall near the outside door. Parking lot noise was bad. Every time someone came through the outside door, it sounded like they were trying to come into our room. Walls are thin so we heard everything going on around and above us. Bed was pretty uncomfortable and the pillows felt like they had been wadded up in the wash. We did appreciate the front desk clerk checking on us after we were accosted by a mentally ill or drugged out person in the parking lot. We didn't get much sleep either night we stayed.
Bed is so comfortable. Jet tub was wonderful. Saw a deer and a skunk outside <3 !
Our check in during COVID was as good as we could expect. The room was roomy and clean. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. Our only caveats were: 1. There was s distinct chemical odor due to cleaning products. 2. The AC/Heating unit and small refrigerator were very noisy, though not so noisy as to prevent sleep. 3. The beverage refrigerator in the lobby was blowing 80+ degrees with beverages on the shelf. The clerk said it was due to be repaired but why wouldn't you clear the shelves and unplug it and out an out of order sign on it? Overall our experience was a good one although the lack of breakfast and no use of the pool made the room less of a value than normal. All perfectly understandable during COVID.

The hotel itself is very nice. I have been to a couple other pet friendly hotels and they are never very nice and usually smell like dog. This hotel did not, it was clean and beds were super comfy. That being said, I had been evacuated due to a fire in my home town. The man who initially checked me in was super rude. I was standing there crying my eyes out for at least 10 min and he wouldn't even make eye contact with me. He tiold me I would have to wait because they were super busy with what was going on in the state. Then he mad a snide comment about how the fires going on in Oregon has made his work life hell. He also told me after I said I had had about 2 hours sleep " Well, I haven't slept well in 30 days so yeah, theirs that." He then finally looked at me and noticed I was crying and asked what brought me in . I said well my whole town is gone along with several of my close friends and family's houses and I had no idea if my house was still standing. He quickly realized what he had just said to me apologized and said I would be compensated for his comment....... I was not! I understand he was stressed, I understand this may have been out of caricature for him, but since I work in Hospital administration I know that it is a must to put away your personal issue when dealing with the public. Other than this issue, the hotel was super nice.
