Sleep Inn Lynchburg - University Area & Hwy 460

The room was adequate. Not particularly clean though. The linens were clean, but the upholstered bed frame near the head of the bed on the floor looked like someone had spilled on it and they missed cleaning it. It also looked like the vacuum wasn’t working well as there were some mail clippings in the middle of the walkway and other debris under the edges of the bed. I did appreciate the clean bathroom and breakfast area. Not sure why the cleaning staff took our soap daily and gave us new when they weren’t supposed to be doing room cleaning during covid but it was fine. One other note: the soaps are highly scented and to me, it was not a pleasant scent. But I would stay here again because of its proximity to the area but would try other hotels first.

Check in was very easy and staff was courteous and welcoming. The food was pretty good and plentiful (especially given the Covid situation). Although clean, the place is quite dated and in need of repair in areas. Our room was small and the beds are not that comfortable. The sitting chair was stained in areas and had a broken front leg so you really couldn't sit in it. The mini frig worked but definitely has seen better days, aesthetically. The desktop had some large chips in the molding around the edge. The air conditioner gave the room a mildew smell and the hallway carpets need deep cleaning due to smell and stains. The shower (no tub) was large and good water pressure. Great location to local shopping and restaurants.

Room could have been a bit cleaner. Found some toe clippings on the floor next to the bed.

It was tidy. The staff was very helpful. The prices were reasonable.

The price was good, the breakfast was adequate, and the room was clean and comfortable. We chose this hotel for it's price, availability, and location.

Quick overnight trip, the front desk staff very polite and he was awesome! Room was great. I will stay again

Stay at this hotel at your own risk. If you believe that Covid-19 is a real thing, then this is not the hotel for you!! This is an "anti-masker" hotel. While the rooms were clean enough, the front desk clerk was not wearing a mask and there were no plexi-glass barriers. Everything had to be signed manually, close up and personal to the desk clerk. There were no disinfectants near the front desk. Consequently, many of the guests did not feel the need to wear masks in the lobby or in the kitchen area. Nor were there any signs requesting that they do so. We were so mad as this was advertised as a hotel that was taking Covid-19 Precautions- which apparently just means that they don't provide cleaning between nights when you don't check out.
