I booked one night at hotel Mennini during my solo trip around Europe as a brief break from hostels and I was left feeling disapointed and regretted splurging above my budget. The toilet paper handle in the bathroom wasn't even attached to the wall and kept falling off, the air conditioning wasn't working and then the kettle in my room was also broken. The kettle was the last straw so I went down to reception to inform them and ask for another one. The man at the front desk said that there wasn't any others that I could use and that's as far as his assistance went. As I've been staying in hostels I wasn't expecting alot when it came to this hotel room but these are all basic things that a hostel would provide for a third of the price. All I wanted was a cup of tea. It would be fine if they didn't advertise that these services were available, but I feel like if you have an air conditioner and a kettle in a room, it's reasonable enough to expect that you should be able to use them. Furthermore there wasn't any free Wi-Fi in the room, which wasn't a surprise as this was mentioned on the listing before I booked the room, however I think that Wi-Fi is a pretty universal and basic thing in 2019 and the hotel should consider providing it free of charge. Overall, treating myself for one night turned out to be a waste of money and I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Milan.
The air conditioner is so noisy that you can’t even sleep
Perfect location - easy to get to from the Central Station. Staff is helpful. My only dislike is although the breakfast is convenient (typical continental breakfast) I thought it was a bit overpriced at $10
I only rate 2 stars because of the great staff at the front desk. The hotel is rated as a 3 stars but it is more of a 1 or 2 stars. Room is nothing like the pictures shown on Expedia, the air conditioning was not working at all and the temperature was over 27 degrees in Milan during the afternoon. Staff acknowledge and acted like they were going to inform the technician but it was obvious they knew it didn’t work at all as they offered a fan instead. First and last time at this hotel even though the location is great.
Close to Milan Central Station. Many restaurants nearby and close till late.
Very close to the central station. Ok breakfast, the guys serving it were really nice. The room wasn’t great but it’s ok as you don’t really spend much time there, just sleeping. The only major disappointment was the wi-fi, me and my friend did the login instructions as directed but it didn’t work and wasn’t connecting at all; my friend complained and the reception guy wasn’t really keen on helping her or was even believing her but after much discussion in the end he gave her his password to have access. The following day I complained as well and they did nothing, kept telling me to create an account again and so I didn’t have access at all during my stay.
No WiFi at all. This hotel is located in a very good area, but how is that the wifi doesn’t work just in the lobby. When I complained the WiFi doesn’t work the front person kept coming to the hallway to act like it works but when you get to the room it doesn’t work. Very inconvenient. I had to look for WiFi everywhere. Couldn’t plan my trips and plus the flight coming back to New York got cancelled and they sent me an email and I didn’t receive it.
I appreciated the separate twin beds and soft comforters provided. We all slept very comfortably! The staff also responded immediately to a power outage (short circuited outlet), which resolved the issue quickly. Convenient location and good eats nearby.
Wifi not working for apples phones! Housekeeping don’t even clean or wash the cups!
For a City Centre hotel at their price, very good, would use it again.
